HB Studios creates great video games. We are an electronic entertainment company that specializes in creating the most spectacular and challenging computer and console video games ever conceived.

Founded in 2000 by CEO and Creative Director Jeremy Wellard, HB Studios is headquartered in beautiful Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, with a satellite studio in Halifax, the largest city in Atlantic Canada. Currently there are over 130 very talented and hard working people employed across both studios. In 2003, Jeremy Wellard won the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Atlantic Canada.

HB Studios' first release, Cricket 2002 for EA Sports on the PlayStation2, was released in December 2001. It became the #1 holiday release in Australia that year and reached #4 in the UK.

In January 2008 HB Studios second location opened in Halifax, the largest city in Atlantic Canada. HB Studios Halifax has over 35 staff working on 3 projects.

HB Studios regularly appears in the develop 100 world's most bankable games development studios based on a variety of key criteria including sales data, critical success and industry standing. For 2010 HB was ranked 48th in the world.

With the release of Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers in May 2010 HB Studios has shipped 26 Titles with 190 SKUs selling more than 13.5 million units.

- surfing, cross country skiing, fishing, sailing, sea kayaking, snowboarding, hiking, and golfing to name a few. HB employees can also join the studio soccer team and participate in various tournaments throughout the year, or play leisurely on Wednesday evenings. There's something for everyone!

When our employees need a taste of city life, they can hop in their car and be in Halifax, Nova Scotia's capital, in one hour, or grab a flight out of Halifax's International Airport.

The South Shore is a great place to raise a family, with its strong educational infrastructure, day care facilities walking distance from the Studio, and a wholesome, active lifestyle.
