Bread’s Crumb 6/16/19

Rusty Ship Golf island

The only knock against this course I have is too many blind shots. Other than that, it’s a 5 star course in my opinion.

This course only has 11 plays!! Let’s change that.

Designer is pek171

Here is a play through by early-1981:

Bread’s Crumb 6/7/19

Scout’s Cove Golf Links

This is a great, challenging course with some good views
Only has 39 plays
Designer is Bodieplays

Thank you to Junuh5 for the play through:

This is a new thread I’d like to start and hope others jump on board to help out.

I want to take it upon myself to scour the depths of the TGC course database looking for excellent courses that went unnoticed.

There is so much garbage being published on TGC every hour that quality courses can get lost in the shuffle.

I am looking for technically sound and visually intriguing courses I think the TGC community should recognize that have been published for a while and are not getting plays.

If you think this is a good idea, you are more than welcome to join me on my quest and post your recommendations in here. You can also simply follow this thread and help by playing the recommended courses.

I would like to keep the amount of courses posted in here on a daily/weekly basis limited so each can have their due. I will likely keep my recommendations to 1-2 courses per week (assuming I find any worthy of recommendation).

Those who are joining me:
Pack your bags and light your torches. Keep a weather eye as we venture together into the void...

Also have this tread going on TGC Tours:
http://tgctours.proboards.com/thread/19491/bread-crumbs

Look for the first recommendation to be released soon.

Great idea.  There are plenty of them out there.  I try to play a couple new courses each week, mostly finding them from posts here.  I look forward to seeing what you come up with......

Good idea indeed ... I normally stick to trying courses I see recommended or posted on here. If folks take the time to sign up to this website and make a post about their course, chances are they took similar care and effort on building the thing.

A definitive list of great TGC 2019 would be nice though ... perhaps split in to RCR (Lidar), RCR (non Lidar), fantasy (but aiming for realism), fantasy (non realistic and wild) ... something along those lines.
COURSES:

- Camp Crystal Lake
- Haddonfield Country Club
- Antonio Bay (The Fog)
- Overlook Hotel & Country Club

Sharing some of my research and experience here.

I'm providing links to 4 Google Docs that make up the bulk of my personal course database. Every course listed in all the documents is at least a four-star course to me, and most are five-star. The cool thing is that a lot of these courses have way less than 300 plays. Of course, there are some courses listed that have been played to death, and even some official TGC 2019 courses.

Any comments or notes in those docs are my opinion only, added for my personal use. If you read them and find them helpful or useful, great. If you read them and are offended in any way, then stop reading and go do something else.

I haven't entered data for some of the newest LiDAR RCRs that have been published in the last few weeks, or some of the courses put out by the top designers. But I'll catch up at some point. I can't promise that I'll update the linked documents, so take these with a grain of salt knowing that they are a snapshot of my opinions right now, today.

I have documents for what I think are the very best PGA Tour RCRs, a list of other PGA Tour courses and courses from other pro Tours, a list of local course RCRs that are very good, and finally, a list of what I think are the very best fictional courses in the game.

Here are the documents:

How did I make a twelve on a par five hole? It's simple - I missed a four foot putt for an eleven.

Try my Gilligan's Island Par 3 2019 course using the Tropical Theme, I spent well over 100 hours on it and it has about 15 plays. :)  Guarnteed to be a scenic experience! I first released the course in 2017, but I have totally redone it for TGC2019. Beware of other imposter Gilligan's Island courses made since. :)

I checked Rusty Ship on PC and Xbox so the designer must be on PS4.  Maybe someone on PS4 could confirm who the designer is for this course?
