Love to see a decent snooker Game being from the UK,Hasnt been a Decent one since Codemasters WSC real series, with 2005 being the best version,Not sure there could be any user created content for it,Have high hope Pure pool DLC snooker may fill the void.

the codemasters version was decent enough but way too easy, i have v pool 4 that i purchased from celeris way back last year, now it appears on steam and i was thinking my product code would let me DL the steam version but it won't...gr8 game if i can get it back via steam. I played snooker from the age of 13 to 21 before i fell out of love with the game, i have a highest break of 131 and represented wales under 21's on numerous occasions, i still enjoy playing u.s. 9 ball...such an easy game to pick up and play...for me anyway.

I remember playing one on the commodore amiga...it was quite good

Shane you don't have modded original Xbox as I have updated to 2015 version as best as possible

Got Trump, Mark Allen, Michael/Jimmy White, Selt etc etc all in the game

Got different animations, player outfits and even venues in the game

Also removed all the repetitive commentary so even that is improved  8)

Jimmy White v Anthony McGill

Don't know of any easy way to record original Xbox footage :(

Like you, 2005 is my all time fav snooker game, and with modding play it loads even now :)

I have tried to mod the PC version but Xbox is easy in comparison

All files are separated in Xbox version but all stored in a 1GB file on PC version making it beyond my capabilities

Steam keys are now available, but your online pass may have expired as they are now only good for 1 year, then it's 10$ a year.

the snooker is pretty good, but only with the aiming aids on to some extent...without them its too hard to make any kind of meaningful break, after all the skill is in the way you move the cue ball around rather than the potting, i played 4 frames and managed a 89 and 84 break...the downside being that the a.i. are not really tailored to play snooker in the traditional way, they tend to go for everything without regard for playing safe etc..disappointing that you cannot play a career mode with any kind of aids, so i am not gonna be playing this much if truth be told.  i Don't need any aids for pool as its easy enough but snooker is not very enjoyable without an aid, the makers of wsc real knew this and thats why their game is still the genre leader imo... I have pure pool for playing 8 and 9 ball and it works well with the pad, i just dont really game with a mouse and keyboard anymore due to my pc's location, it's more of a console setup.
