As this thread has grown I'm trying to make it easier to be utilized as a reference list for the real course recreations in TGC.  I've decided to rearrange the order of the different groupings to start with the current recreations in the game and then the recreations currently in progress.  I'd imagine that is what people are most interested in anyway.  Further down you will still find the requested courses and current votes.

--Original Purpose of Thread--
I thought it would be worthwhile to keep a list going of the most requested real courses either not yet in the game or else not being an accurate representation of the course in the game.  While designers would obviously be under no obligation to create a course that users want it might be helpful for them to see what people want to play.  My thought would be that people could vote once per user id and we would also keep a list of courses in development so multiple designers aren't working on the same course.  People can just respond in the thread and I'll update the first post.  Also, just a friendly reminder that when creating these courses try to think about sim players and add a shortened version for us ProTee players  :)

Colinmafia Recreation Courses – Colinmafia does his courses similar or in the same spirit as a real course but are generally accepted to not be as close to the real course as the recreations mentioned above.  The layouts are accepted as being correct as are hazard placements and green shapes however the elevations and green slopes are seen as being his own creation.  To somebody that isn't familiar with the real course they easily could have as much, if not more, fun playing these than if it was a true recreation.  These courses are still seen as being well developed and worth a play

Added your courses and put your vote at Pronghorn since you listed it first.  If you want to change your vote (for now I'm only going to put in one vote per member) just either reply or edit your post and I'll adjust it.  Also having grown up 15 minutes from Bethpage and having played it numerous times I'd also love to see a great version of it.  I'd also love to see Bethpage Red done which is so under appreciated in my mind next to its more famous and more difficult sibling.  For anybody not familiar with the red check out this thread with pictures and descriptions of the first six holes.

Erin Hills is a yawner? Now what I've heard. Talked to a buddy that played there a couple times this year and he said it was anything but a yawner. It would be hard to pull off well.

He said it was the hardest track he's ever played and he's like you ADX in that he's played most of the big boys. Not sure what I make of that. Doesn't LOOK as intimidating as some...but he said it was almost a kick in the nuts sometimes.

It's a Yawner in that we already have Straits and this years open course.  Erin hills is just a little brother to those imo.

*shrug* I'm fine with that assessment.  ;D

I will say the pictures I've seen of the course would get me out there to play it when I have a shot though. Straights is freaking awesome in real life so I'd like a chance at Erin Hills when I can...

I vote for Olympia Fields.  Beautiful Course with great history.  Went to 1st round of the 2003 US open there.  Harvest theme would be closest to build on.

Olympia Fields will join only eight other American clubs - including Winged Foot, Oakland Hills and Cherry Hills - that have hosted the United States Open Championship (1928, 2003)

I would love someone to have a go at Hollinwell. I'm not good enough with the designer.

This is a real gem in Nottinghamshire.

I've played Princes which is next door several times and is one of my favourites. If I ever make a real course it will be that. However you can't do the trademark big bunker in GNCD (Princes has a similar one) let lone proper pot hole bunkers so I'm waiting until, fingers crossed, it becomes possible :)

These aren't big classic courses, but I think the list should also have:

Muirfield Village
Bay Hill
Congressional

I'd probably vote for Muirfield.

And sawgrass should be an option.  I don't think we've seen a good version of it yet.
