2 good courses where both put a lot of effort into. Well done both of you.
Hard to find a clear voting for either of them. Both courses need urgently to be completed.
The course layout and flow of the holes is well done and straight forwared on both course. Forming of the holes, by using 1st cut and landscape to define the general look of the hole, Pine Park Lodge slightly gets its nose ahead. Leading (or missleading) the player thru the forming and modeling of the fairways, Apache Creek goes ahead. Using obstacles (bunker, water, etc.) as "warning lights" towards the player, both course get lost in what i would call "overbunkering", thus leading the players into simply ignoring them. Greencomplexes, size, slopeing are well done on both course and match the hole layouts. Integrating all levels of players, from challenging the crack to allow the casual a success, is probably one of the hardest things to do in course design. Both courses are about equal in there balance.
So my vote goes to ..... ? Wherever it went.
