That's my suggestion for the name of a potential successor to TGC.  Same thing Jack Nicklaus Golf did back in the late 80s or whenever that was.  If a lot of limitations are lifted (water at multiple levels, use any backdrop across any theme, use any objects from a global database, more gameplay options, etc.) then the name will very much fit.

Of course, a name like this puts a big target on your back if you fall short of living up to the name.  PerfectGolf is similar there...I find it far from perfect myself.

Huh?  What was I trolling?  I posted a suggestion for a product name for the next version of TGC on forums for the product.  I made a reference to PG only from the perspective of pointing out that names like unlimited or perfect have inherent expectations and I used that as an example where the product may have a hard time living up to the name.  My point was that TGC2 might have a hard time living up to a name like "unlimited" but I was suggesting it anyway.  No clue when I was trolling anything there, but thank you.

Wonder why your trolling again unless of course your another TGC fan boy.  Who cares what your personal preference is.   This post has nothing to do with PG.   Time to grow up and accept  both games for what they are.

Um...yes I am a TGC fan boy.  It's why I participate very heavily on this forum.  Is it wrong to be a fan?  You confuse me.

You win.  Anyway...back to my original point here...that's my suggested name for TGC2.  Let's hear some other ideas!

Nothing wrong with being a fan.   Being an extremist fan boy  that puts down other games  is simply imature.   But then again you seem easily confused.

What would you call a fan of PG lurking on the TGC forums and taking somebody's comment out of context and accusing them of trolling?  I think an immature, confused, fanboy fits well.

I believe that the only way to achieve this would be to switch to a different platform.  Steam sucks.

I have an older LGA 775 system with an AMD R9 Nano and have yet to have a crash yet. Upgrading later today to

Intel i5-6600 3.5 ghz Skylake
Gigabyte 1151 Gaming mother board
G.Skill 16 GB DDR4 3200 memory
480 GB Intel SSD

If you have not tried the latest AMD Hotfix drivers, that is likely why you are crashing.

Thanks DM, I haven't tried that driver yet.  Sounds like a nice system you're building.  Let me know how you like that new Intel CPU and the DDR4.  I'm a computer geek and even though I built my system last year, I'm already itching to start a new one and was thinking of the new Intels and DDR4.

Actually ended up buying an AMD/OCZ 480GB SSD that had better specs than the Intel.

Waiting for parts to arrive this afternoon....let you know how I make out. Try that driver, not a single issue so far for me.

I will, thanks.  I was talking about the Skylake processor though.  I'm curious about this new line and if it would have any appreciable performance gains over the AMD 9590.  Thanks

Not sure about gains over the AMD 9590 as I do not have one to compare with. That being said, this is the system I am now running:

GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 Intel Z170 motherboard
Intel i5 6600 Skylake 3.5 GHZ CPU
G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
AMD R9 Nano Fiji 4GB
480GB Toshiba OCZ AMD Radeon R7 2.5" 7mm Internal SSD
Xbox One Elite Controller

Running most courses at 1080p on High detail and 4 on object detail in game, 700+ on yards for trees rendering, etc average 55-60 fps. I can run 5 on Object detail in game, but I am playing with some settings like turning DoF off and playing with V-sync. Astonished at how beautiful the game plays and looks on the PC versus the consoles. Didn't want to believe it, now I am a true believer.

I'd be interested in hearing your impressions of that Elite controller vs the standard XBONE controller vs the XBOX360 controller.  I know it is a much higher quality piece but do you feel more consistent with it in TGC?

No comparison with a standard controller. Is it worth $150? I got mine with the Elite Xbox One. Works flawlessly with the PC. Don't have a 360 controller to compare, sorry.

Steam has nothing to due with you game crashing.  That was your driver(s) and or system

The game would be best with an engine swap, one that would allow the devs to unlock its limitations.

Game would be sooo much better if the things the OP said came true

i will....
