Well TGC2 is coming! But now I'm wondering how long to wait for the last possible update to TGC1 with scaling of objects in GNCD.  Really want this course out but want to give it justice with the correct scaling of trees.  Just doesn't feel the same with the trees being so large.

Hoping for an announcement in a week or so about a final update (which we've been told already has scaling built in it)...here's hoping!!!

I'm hoping too Storm.  The most important news is the fact that TGC1 courses can be easily ported to TGC2.  Huge relief there as it means people like you and the other designers can continue to finish off Bay Hill, Muirfield Village, etc. knowing the work will not be wasted/lost with respect to the new game!

I have the front nine trees in place...but have taken another break..hoping for an update for TGC1 to allow scaling of trees.  I'll get back on it soon....

Yea I had the blessing of being able to play 27 there on a business trip.  Stayed there on property!  Got to meet the king and get his autograph.  They have a noon game and if the king is in town he plays!  I was never able to get my schedule to meet up with that but I could have been paired with him, how cool would hat have been...lol!

I love these 4 holes.  Tough dog leg left with water all the way on the left number 3.  Long but reachable par 5 number 4 with lot's of trouble in the landing zones.  Short par 4 (reachable if they move tees up) with some risk reward opportunity.  Then the infamous number 6 just wrenches your body on every shot.  Even if you lay-up,  you have to pick a spot and commit!  And don't be fooled even when you have the 100' approach (in real life) it's a slick green with trouble all around!

The fairways will have just a yard or so of short rough, going to play tough in winds.  Realy excited about this one!

Pulled this little gem up once again...doesn't look like we are going to get an update with scaling before TGC2.  So I am going to finish this guy up!!!

Scaling on trees will be off and may have to reduce the amount of houses I put on.  I have 90% of all the major elements....but need to go in an finesse the sight lines and additional "pretty planting".

I'm going to try and release a version in next couple of weeks.  Stay Tuned!!!

I'm pretty sure I'm using Highlands....it's my go-to theme with such a selection of trees.  Now that we can change textures the theme is really all about the back-drops and trees/plants.  Which makes me really wish we could select those independently as well.  Hopefully that will happen for TGC2.  Think of the possibilities!  lol.

Want to try and put some more time on this, this week....will see!

Highland makes sense, explains the flat backdrop beyond the water.  I too wish we could disconnect the wind profile & backdrop selection from the theme itself, just make both an independent selection.  I should be able to use a Links theme wind profile in a Rustic course if I desire.

Love the pics, so neat to see a course start to come together into something great.
