Save the pocketbooks... in your back pocket - if you need to deflect even further.

It really depends on your situation.
PS4 Pro offers 4K on games, but only HDR on Blu-Ray.
XB1 S 4K Blu-Ray, HDR Gaming.

Scorpio won't be out until at the earliest in time for the Holidays.

This is incorrect. PS4 Pro (And PS4) have HDR gaming if your TV is compatible.

PS4 Pro can do HDR if your display isn't 4K......  you have to have 4K enabled on the console and the TV, but it is 4K when you do.

From Sony......

Before you get started

Refer to your display device manual to ensure:
You're connecting your PS4 Pro system to the correct 4K HDMI input. Check this for all devices connected between your PS4 Pro and 4K compatible display device.
Your display device supports 4K/60Hz. If it doesn’t, the picture may be scaled down to 2K/60Hz.
Make sure you are using Premium HDMI cables to connect all devices in the chain. You can find out more about Premium HDMI cables here.
You can only get dynamic 4K with a PS4 Pro system connected to a 4K compatible display device (e.g. 4K TV, 4K projector) with a Premium HDMI cable.

You need to enable 4K on both your PS4 Pro system and 4K compatible display device. You also need to enable this setting in any other device in between your PS4 Pro and 4K compatible display device (e.g. 4K compatible Home Cinema System/AV receiver).

Rumoured to run well on the Pro but there is no specific optimisation for the console over OG PS4.

Why would HB Studios not take advantage of the PS4 Pro? I don't understand it.. thank god the Xbox X is coming out with more power. Will make devs think twice about not releasing proper Pro patches. This game would be incredible in HDR. I would rather have 1080p HDR than 1440p or 4k without HDR.

A reviewer at Operation Sports has received an advanced review copy of TGC 2 and can only go so far as to say it's 'running good' on the PS4 Pro.
Intel Core i5-4440 3.1 GHz
Geforce GTX 1060 3 GB SC Gaming, ACX 2.0
8GB PC-1600 DDR3 RAM

I hope that is the case for Standard PS4 as well.   ;D
