Failed backswing

Failed backswing

Literally 30 or more tries till it finally will swing. Never had this problem before. Any ideas?

I've had this on both TGC 1 and 2. Left control stick rarely works on backswing and have to use (unpreferred) right control stick to make a back swing. Both my controllers work on all other games. It's extremely frustrating, anyone have any ideas? I've tried using a USB extension cable with no luck either
