Realised I hadn't posted anything here about the latest course I have been working on.

It is my first attempt at a links style course, but rather than go for a fully traditional links (with pot bunkers everywhere etc etc) I have done things slightly different. Someone who has already played a beta version of it described it as a "modern" or "american style" links.

I am hoping to have it finalised and published in the next couple of days hopefully (depending on work) but here are some pics for now.

The original WIP thread over on the TGCTours site can be seen here http://tgctours.proboards.com/thread/8215/another-wip so apologies for this post to anyone that has already read about it over there.

That really has a bit of The National look in it, would totally label that "American" style links.....looks just stunning from those pics.

Looks good to me - I'd lose the paths :)

I'd thought that myself more than once but had kind of decided to keep them as they help to frame the hole on some holes and also can be a help or a hazard (a lucky/unlucky bounce) on a couple too

Great planting of the heather.  Understated look overall makes it very realistic.

Came out really nice - some nice shaping of greens and bunkers

Your use of paths and setting them higher than the fairway on most holes made them blend in and worked well.  More people could learn from the path work on this course imo.

Good solid golf links ,fair enjoyed my round will definitely play again. As for the path especially me not being a fan of them, can say I hardly noticed it. Good job.
