Hi all,

The Million is a private commercial forest planted in the years just after the Second World War.  Its name is locally derived from the number of trees thought to be growing throughout its 400 plus acres.

With plenty of undulation and a free draining sandy soil it would make for a stunning golf course - alas, this will probably never happen, due in part to its private ownership and the costs involved creating the course.

Fortunately, no such restrictions abound in the virtual world......

I have recently completed the front 9 and clubhouse area - the course is an homage to the great architects Fowler and Simpson - and can be played by checking out: -

Here are a few teaser pictures......

The green to the par-5 fourth.

Fairway bunker on the uphill par-4 ninth.

Greenside bunkers at the par-3 eighth.

Green on the ninth.

Totally agree.  Seem to be multiple courses coming out each week that make me think "wow...that looks fantastic" when I see the screenshots.  Chalk up another one.

Agree- the quality of the courses coming out in the last 2 months put most of my favorites from a year ago to shame

This looks promising for TGC2!

The width of the course gives it a realistic look.  looking forward to playing it. Great bunkering.

Have routed the back nine and completed holes 10 and 11 other than final planting which I will do when the course layout is finished - dependent on how much space there is left on the object bar.

The finished course should measure just over 7,000 yards to a par of 72.

This is the green of the 10th.

...and the 11th.

Coming along quite well - have completed the 12th and 13th as well as the green complex of the home hole.

Only 4.5 holes to do along with some fine tuning - hoping to have the course finished by the end of next week......

Not quite - should be a couple of days.

If not then early next week.

Almost there - just one hole plus fine tuning to complete, so I imagine a release either Monday or Tuesday - object bar only 1/4 full so plenty of space should it be needed.

This is the 14th - an uphill par-3 - no bunkers but an exacting shot is required to a reasonably sized target.

The 15th is a down and up par-4 to a two-tier green protected by a large cross bunker.

And finally, the 16th.  A medium length par-4, a premium is placed on the accuracy of the drive if a clear view of the green is to be found.  The picture is from the left of the green with the 17th tee and fairway in the background.
