I upgraded my graphics card to a GeForce GTX1070, i7 processor, 1280 x 768 resolution and improved my graphic quality but I'm still not where I want to be. I'm using a 10' x 10' screen with a BenQ MS630ST short throw projector, 1280 x 800 resolution, 3200 brightness, 13000:1 contrast through a high quality HDMI cord.  My picture is good but not great. Anyone have a projector suggestion that runs TGC with great picture quality without spending a great deal on a new projector?  I have also been through the TGC settings and messed around with the various adjustments,  and still not the best picture quality.  Currently at medium, depth of field off, object detail 3, HQ tree count 2000, tree distance 1214 and vsync on. This is my first simulator so maybe I'm just being too critical?

Sounds to me like you should be able to max out graphics settings with that card? Should be able to throw 4K at an OK frame rate...

What's the issue with the graphics quality?

Grainy picture, trees lose clarity in background.  Since the BenQ model has a native 800 x 600 resolution how much more improvement will I get if I match up the 1280 x 800 resolution with a different projector?

If the benq only produces 800 x 600 you won't get very good quality. Upgrading to any full HD projector should give you a real boost.
