If I update my Nvidia driver to anything later than 376.19-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql The game stutters for me.

I have a GTX 970 and I don't overclock it for TGC.

I've just tried the latest driver that came out today and got the same stuttering, it mostly happens when I use the scout cam. It's completely smooth when I use the 376.19 driver. This was released on the 5th of December, last year.

Anybody else have this problem at all? Or know of why this is happening?

I'll be upgrading my GPU soon, but this has been puzzling me for a while.

Thanks for the replies fellas  :)

I've just ordered a new MSI Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X 11GB GPU and an EVGA 850w PSU.

Looking at that other post, it looks as if I'm going to run into the same issues unless I do the reset thing. Here's hoping that it'll just run smoothly right away!

Others including myself have had this issue, http://www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=17455.0

I will be trying the new 382.05 drivers with my EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3.

DivotMaker, did you experience the stuttering prior to the new driver?

blueorfe, did you try the new driver with your GTX 970?

No.

Thanks guys, I guess I will do the refresh of Windows 10 before I put the 1080 Ti in or a clean install.

I am about to do one myself as it has been over a year and I like to reinstall Windows at least yearly.

I have the same problem. tried to download and install 376.19, but it came up incompatible with my system, windows 10 with creators update. I have since found there is an Nvidia Hotfix driver released on 10th May to overcome a stuttering issue on the game "Prey". It is 382.19. I installed this but the stutter remains.

I'll probably have to endure it until 27th June, and hope that TGC2 has no such problem.

I have also tried 378.49 which I am currently using from today. The stuttering on ball flight has pretty much gone. So I am happy again. Just hope my GeForce Experience program doesn't upgrade me again.
