AMD and Nvidia have there own recording software which generate small files and little impact on Frames Per Second and are the easiest to use.

AMD Radeon ReLive

Capture. Customize. Share.
Capture, stream and share your greatest moments and gaming wins with Radeon ReLive. Modify settings quickly, conveniently, and play seamlessly with the easily accessible in-game toolbar. Express yourself in bold new ways with custom scene layouts. Upload your latest highlights and let them be a conversation piece. It’s never been easier to build and grow your online community at anytime, anywhere.

Nvidia Shadowplay
ShadowPlay is the easiest way to record and share high-quality gameplay videos, screenshots, and livestreams with your friends.

After you recorded your game use handbrake, (which is a free program) to re-encode the files with same quality and smaller files still for quick uploads to youtube ETC.

For editing your videos that depends on how much money you want to spend, but there are some free ones out there.

I use FRAPS. Great FPS meter and also snapshots and video modes.
The Age of Brass is ending, we are entering the Age of Irony.

I use GeForce Experience as a "Share Button" of Sorts.
If I am just recording full gameplay I use OBS.

Geforce Experience shadowplay for recording the videos' i usualy use Audacity for seperate commentary from game audio. Then i use sony vegas pro for titles and editing' Then run it through handbrake, then it's ready for uploading to youtube.

All this can take anywhere upto 3-4hrs for a 30 min video' from editing/rendering/uploading.But the finished result is worth it i think. This is why i don't release a ton of videos' and pick the courses wisely that i want to spend the time on.. ;D ;D
