After the 2nd round, I'm leading with a score of +2 (if I didn't score an 11 on a hole, I'd be more like -4 or -5)
1 guy shot a 95 both rounds??

Will the "Hardest" level simulate more PGA tour like scores? Meaning a range of -8 to -12 for a 4 round score

I'm wondering if the scores just adjust to whatever I shoot (to keep me in contention if I'm average; and keep the AI players in contention if I go low)

thus far, offline career has the feel of a local country club vs. a professional tour

(maybe down the road we can change the Handicap of the AI golfers)

Frustrating I got kicked out of my career because of a failed connection (no such thing as an offline career in this game)

depends entirely on the course handicap.  I have a career on hard, and the AI winning score on the first tournament was -42 (Caramel Creek was the course).  I'm in the middle of the second tournament now (Faxon Park) and after two rounds there are only 2 AI players under par at all.

This comes back to course handicaps being broken for non-Official courses, unfortunately.

I'm curious if the scores adjusted to what you shot.....was it -42 because you were low? and then higher because you were higher?
I'm hoping the AI doesn't adjust to your level of play (kind of like AI cars in NASCAR slowing down)

after round 3, I'm leading at +3

if you are +12 or better, you are in the top 10??

I'm playing a course named Links/Royal something

Scores are concerning..............I would have thought my +2/+3 would have me on the cut line, not leading in the "Hard" level
(not sure why we have Amateur Joe shooting 97 in the game, honestly)

Are you playing a course without a handicap?

Not sure..........I thought I was playing one of HB's courses - Links.....Royal something - it's the first event and I didn't edit any of the courses

I shot a 92. Hooks were awful

Strange thing is the competition moved down with me. Leader is +11

Unfortunate

The strange thing is I was leading at +3 and 2nd and 3rd was +4 and +5.
+12 was 10th....

I tripled the 1st and 2nd place immediately went to +12.
10th was like +23

Yeah, I've noticed the really high scores and mentioned that within a few days of having the game. There were some ridiculous scores from a number of players, even on handicap rated official courses.

my 4 round event is complete

Winner:  +12
10th place:  +32
last place:   +72

No cuts?
Frustrating results to say the least
PGA Tour Golf in the early/mid 90's on the SEGA had better AI and at least had cuts

I was +40 and finished around 25th
The combination of hooking the ball (player clubs) and the inability to hit a shot out of the rough did me in (5 iron out of the rough goes 80 yards?? - has the feel of just chipping back to the fairway)

I've deleted the season........not sure where I'll go from here

AI scoring should be independent of my score!!!

"I've deleted the season........not sure where I'll go from here"

I'm not playing it any more and I am sad as a result.

We all have to wait - impatiently - for the patch to come out and then the next patch after that.

This has the potential to be the best - which is why we are all so frustrated!

This is real disappointing as "offline" career mode was what I purchased this game for.

I don't see how AI is that tricky to program ... as BWW said, the PGA games in the 90s were at least able to churn out a realistic leaderboard for us to compete against.  Sounds like something went wrong with this portion of the game  :-\
COURSES:

You sound like me discussing career how I do multiplayer.  It's so close to being incredible but they just can't do the obvious.    I've never in all my years seen such a great game struggle with the simple and expected things.  Hopefully they have a plan for the future that entails the obvious m
