I don't know if this has been proposed. I searched and didn't find anything, but if it has been feel free to merge it into that thread.

Course designers need to be able to test their courses out using live production environment conditions. This was possible in TGC 1 by going offline. There seems to be no way to do that in TGC2.  As a result, there are going to be a whole slew of beta courses using space on the course server that won't be played more than a few times, maybe 20 at most as the designers test out each pin set for each tee. Certainly not enough for a handicap rating.

I am asking for a way to be able to do this without actually publishing a course.

Thank you for your consideration.
My courses

Bonner Point Golf Club
TPC Mactan Hills (Regular and Tour Editions)

TGC 2

I agree.... this is definitely missing.  I'm having to guesstimate what holes would play like in different condition which makes placement of bunkers and water hazards hit or miss at best.

I concur, also ... since we have to publish courses in order to test them under playing conditions, we really need a way to delete them, or hide them after we are done testing them!

Absotively
Score matters not! Look at me. Judge me by my score do you? And well you should NOT! For my ally is The Course. And a powerful ally it is. Powerful ally. Golf creates it, makes it grow. You must feel The Course around you. Between you, me, the tree, the rock, yes. Even between the ball and the cup.

Absolutely bonkers who ever thought it was a good idea to remove the online option, and the re start round button, obviously their not into designing, also changing from fairway to rough etc has gone backwards, they must have employed someone who works for sky why have two clicks when six will do

The replay button is still there. Just a few extra clicks ;)

I believe you click "start" or whatever gets you to a set of options, then choose "course details" (going by memory here so I believe that's the name of the choice) and one of the options will be "restart round".  I agree, it's indeed hidden but it's there :-)

I would also like this.  It is possible to determine where balls would land and how they would fly with wind for the most part, but when you are doing intricate things like trying to make specific landing areas it's hard to determine exactly what a 10 MPH wind in your face would do.

I don't think the devs make many courses, removing offline play, only having one undo, having to size an object away from where it's being placed, moving  menus about like fairway and rough now you have to back out about five clicks, there are more but you get the message and don't start me on hot new courses.

Having only one undo?

I have at least 10 or 11 undos.

Just tried it twice and yes...11.

Your on a PC aren't you Dusty, on consoles this is what hb_kieth posted

"I believe the undo buffer was cut down to just two copies on consoles in an effort to save memory.  Large courses were having memory issues on consoles which was causing alot of the crashes we were seeing.  We're going to look into finding a better way to track what people have done so we can undo more, but for now an easy fix for some of the crashes we were seeing was to limit the amount of work you can undo."

In practice it seems to be only one on my Ps4

Extremely challenging to be creative now, I tend to save and work on a course for a few minutes and either keep what I've done or just scrap it and re start from where I've saved. The first tgc1 designer was a hair pulling experience and sadly the saga continues.
