It is entirely reasonable to expect a gaming engine to allow for deletion of published courses. I know this is an issue for many users who intentionally or unintentionally published multiple course instances or continue improving an existing course and should be quickly addressed to allow the community to play only the absolute best courses available. Please fix it. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Supposably an issue to do with stats. However I think it should be that courses with under X amount or plays should be able to be deleted. If they are that bad or quirky then it really shouldn't count towards any stats anyway.

I'd put the play count at 50 maybe 100.  I'd be happy with 25 too though.

that's so dumb, if you play a course in real life and it gets bulldozed it can still apply to your handicap

While I usually defer to HB on matters like this, I do not here.  There should be a "delete course" option, the sooner, the better.

There are many impacting factors to removing a course that has been published. As soon as someone starts a round on that course there is a save that they need to be able to resume at any time. If they have added it to their online society or career, it needs to be available. It's also important to stat tracking as if that course is removed from the server the scorecard data associated with it will no longer exist. We are discussing alternative options in house to deleting a course completely if the designer chooses, however there are still many decisions to be made and impacts to be considered.

Why don't you put it up to a vote on the forum?

I posted this in another thread:

I remember reading a post in the past by AK at the possibility of allowing a designer to “hide” a published course.    ???

yep,  the the course is a "GHOST" ... just not visible ... until it goes Idle for "X" amount of time ... then it can go poof if the designer wants to delete it ...
