Anyone else seen the coverage BBC have got for the final major of the year? It's laughable.

They have the exclusive rights, yet if you want to watch more than an hour a day, you'll need to use the red button. Also, they're doing the commentary from a studio in Salford!

It begs the question, why bother bidding for it when they aren't going to give it proper attention? Awful.

IMG the rights holders for the PGA,wanted 2 million from Sky and they could not reach agreement,BBC took it on for 100K,Everybody in the UK has the red button these days, even if they are in manchester Still be better than sky...

Got to be honest i find 5 live radio coverage so much better than any TV coverage.

Blame Sky for paying 11 million pound for every Premier league game they show,Got no money left for other things why the cut backs.Sky launch a Golf channel then the PGA and maybe the Masters not on it,Really cheeky if you ask me.

One thing i do agree with you,BBC presenters should be there this day and age, poor show.

It wouldn't bother me that it's not on Sky, but presentation is key. It's 2017 and BBC aren't even offering a HD feed for the majority of the tournament. It's awful.

So somebody on twitter suggested this - iPlayer through the PS4. As close to HD as you're going to get. Far better picture. This will do!

Far to many knock BBC TV,they are amazing at finding talent used to love Hazel Irvine presenting, but they have found Eilidh Barbour she has fitted in like a old glove.Just a shame the athletics are on at the same time taking the TV time of the golf.Still do not like what they have done to quail hollow course,Bit of rain improved the course.

I like Peter Alliss myself, but the effort BBC have put in to this is shocking. They are getting absolutely slated for it. It's not a throwaway PGA calendar event, it's a MAJOR championship, and they're hiding it behind the red button. They go all out for the tennis when they have Wimbledon. Here was their chance to take a full team out to Quail Hollow, present and commentate on the event from the course itself, offer multiple viewings of featured groups etc, and they've dropped the ball big time.

No HD unless you stream, pathetic television coverage, commentary from someone's living room, not to mention constant mistakes in commentary with player names (Bruce Koepka, anyone?), the feed they're using is amateurish as well, but that's not hosted by then so can't blame them for that, but the list goes on.

Great to see Golfers can play quick after 1AM here, running down fairways and from Green to Tee.2 Hours of coverage on BBC2 from 11pm to 1.15am,well done to the BBC for showing it without them it would not be on any TV channel.

Msybe it should have been on BBC4 but when you are talking about mistakes i think you are forgetting how many Paul McGinley made on Sky during the open.Plus its easy to commentate on golf on sky, when the shots were played 5 mins before and they know the result.

All enjoy different things but i would rather watch every shot, than 20 mins of award winning coverage of Nick Doughty in the sky zone talking about uneven lies when there is golf taking place.

BBC won't get another major any time soon. I'd rather see a shot on a slight delay than commentary often behind the action you're seeing on screen. About the only compliment I can give is that it's ad free - just search the #pgachampionship on twitter and you'll see people in their hundreds complaining about the coverage.

Masters Sat/Sun Coverage Live already agreed for BBC,No agreement with sky yet,BT Sport in the mix.

I agree it could have been done better, but with the world athletics championships already on the schedule nothing the BBC could do about it.

The same people would also be complaining about the BBC sending a entire team there if it was only on the RED button and cost to the taxpayer,i Dislike the principles on the BBC these days, but on this one i just think its a decent job in the time they had to do it.
