They also have BBC 4 right there. I think viewing figures would be better for something like this than whatever else they were putting out between 7 and midnight.

Sky will undoubtedly show Masters coverage throughout the week, and if you'd choose BBC's coverage over Sky, more power to you!

I think when the BBC gave up coverage of the Open to sky at Troon,it shows you the BBC have no interest in covering Golf. They Cover the Masters because those at Augusta want national coverage and the rights cost them not a lot.

Again the question should be why did the rights holders ask sky for 2 millions, then accepted 100K from the BBC.Those people moaning should be asking Sky and the right holders the questions not blaming the BBC.

Like I say, I'm of the opinion if you get to show live coverage of all four days of a major, you go out of your way to make the content as good as it can possibly be, reaching as many people as possible.

I just want to see as much golf as possible, with the best picture and analysis as possible. It's always irked me how the Augusta club are so strict when it comes to coverage of their event. Pretty sure the first half of the first two rounds have really limited coverage. I recall Sky starting their coverage from 6 but not being able to show live action until 8.

The BBC sports coverage is an absolute disgrace these days.  Cut backs on all the top events, everything done on the cheap.  They generally only show the rubbish other channels can't be bothered with.  Won't be long before the bloody boat race is the highlight of their year!

BBC used to be the channel to watch sport many years ago...

Formula 1, Wimbledon, Test cricket, All the major and main European Tour golf tournaments, First Division football, FA Cup Final, Boat Race, Five (now Six) Nations rugby, Grand National, Derby, Cheltenham Festival, Royal Ascot... the list goes on.

They hardly have any of that left.

Not sure what was going on with Sky sports today, that last hour far too many commercial breaks really spoiled the Flow of it.

Wasn't sure who the Aussie commentator was.  Hope it's not Levy because whoever it was was irritating to say the least.  Sounded too much like Steve Irwin on the hunt for another gator..
