Greasy swing, while I've never heard anyone use that phrase, resonates just fine with me.  What is it about that comment that you don't like?  It's just indicating that you executed a nice smooth (or greasy) swing.



The famous Sam Snead coined the phrase that a golf swing should feel oily.

Maybe there was a  loss in translation?

Lol this is a hilarious thread. To clear up any confusion, the greasy swing comment gets triggered on a poor swing. It comes directly from the Trailer Park Boys connotation of the term greasy - so props to those who brought up Bubs. It's in there as thats what I'd say if I was out on the course with friends if they had a crappy swing on a particular shot. In fact, pretty much all the casual commentary is in there as if I was out with my friends on a course

Way to bring "Thors Hammer" down on the discussion John....
