Hi guys,

Have just started up a unique Society that I hope will draw in a few of the sim crowd and few of the not so inclined.

I enjoy NO AIDS play but I hate knocking it close and having a 4 footer break across the cup as many do so with this in mind I have kept the green grids turned ON!

All other AIDS are OFF, no shot feedback, no aiming reticules of any kind, no scout cameras, no wind speeds and no lie grid. I find its a pretty authentic way to play the game, IRL we can gauge a greens break somewhat to simulate a green grid in our heads and it all comes down to picking a line and speed and that's what it is here with no putting markers for me anyways, join in and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Just tried these settings for a few holes and enjoyed it so have applied to join.  Found it difficult to hit my putts where I thought I was aiming but hopefully I'll get the hang of it.

2 more days guys to get your rounds in for the Inaugural event and a chance to recoup your joining fee goes to the winner! No other society runs these settings so give them a try in a social round and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

If you are get to try these settings in a casual round then I implore you to give it a try!

I'll be posting the schedule so far very shortly.

A big thank you for the support so far and a couple donations have got us to level 6 already!!!

Wow those scores with no aids are ridiculous. I can't imagine not knowing any info and grinding it out with the graphics.

I can only think the best way would be to play a sample round with aids, take very good notes then come back with your cheat sheet to play the event. And even then. Good job guys.

You should join and give it a try, it's a lot of fun.  I play all my rounds this way now and it feels a  much more natural way to play. The hardest part I find are long putts with a fast downhill section half way to the hole as I tend to hit them too soft to reach the slope, really satisfying when you get one close though.

I'm still thinking on it. If the turn out is 30+ players for each event I might join.
