Just to announce I'm chipping away at Spyglass Hill. I felt a cleaner and more accurate version was worth doing, plus I make courses that grab my attention. This course is taking a while, around a week per hole. Hopefully the back 9 will be less arduous.

Here's a few sneak peeks at a few holes. Peace!

Mapped this out in tgc1 for about 2 months, but when delta theme changed stopped all work on it,was looking great in tgc1 and some holes on tgc2 look forward to it.

Changes from TGC1 to TGC2 to me The sand changing in TGC2 just does not do it justice.

1st Hole before i stopped

Plus its only 6990 yards or around that really short for TGC2.

Yeltz, I was actually waiting for your Spyglass to come over. Sad to hear the porting process wasn't helpful. It's certainly a demanding course to get right, especially terrain wise. There still isn't really a theme that does the course complete justice.

I've got the same problem with my old course Monks Head which was done in the links theme, it looks terrible in tgc2, its like starting from scratch but because non of the other themes have the same plants you can't get the same feel. They won't let you delete a course but drop a theme which makes it look so bad its probably lost to tgc2.

Thanks for the links, guys. Useful stuff!

I would like to add a few photos to get some feedback regarding fog in TGC. I have been reading about the famous foggy views that this course sometimes produces, especially when it haunts the tees of the 1st hole. I appreciate fog can look effective but also hinder the visuals and experience, so your two cents would be appreciated. The images are sadly the best quality I can manage, unless I can upload my screen grabs  from Xbox to my phone.

Personally if the course does get foggy at times it makes sense to have it but you would hate to cover those beautiful views.

I think my plan is to release the F9 as a separate course, for multiple reasons:

The opening stretch is a well loved string of holes, it would make a nice 9 hole course and there isn't too many about.

Any feedback will be implemented into the 18 hole version.

I can have fog on the 9 hole course and clear weather on the 18 hole version. This will also make both courses feel a little different.

I like it!  Best of both worlds!

Any updates on progress on the full 18?

If you've given up or postponed indefinitely, that's cool.  Just curious where the project stands.  I'd love to play this course in TGC2, and being able to go from Pebble to Spyglass and back again just like the Pro-Am would be awesome!

Thanks!
How did I make a twelve on a par five hole? It's simple - I missed a four foot putt for an eleven.
