Hey folks,

There are so many great courses being shared here. What are your top 5 favorite fictional courses that you have played since the start of TGC2?

I will start off with my list, in no particular order and play mostly limited to official societies.
- Tarwa Golf Club
- Fiddler's Green
- Burrowing Owl Golf Club
- Devon Quarry Country Club
- Royal Ethalwind

TPC Oakwind is my favorite non RCR. Awesome course. The Championship version plays like a major.

Velle de Los Reyes

McNaughton Golf and Tennis Club

Coronado Athletic Club

Tomahawque Valley

Noreswood Golf club

Wild Goose Run

No order and there are more but I just noticed a lot of those are not on my favorite list anymore. Had to look at my society schedule to get them . Which is odd must be a cap on favorites.

Devon Quarry is one of my all time favorites, but I care less for the fictional courses and lean towards the RCR's with the little time I have to play.

Great respect for the talent the designers display....Royal Ethalwind and Burrowing Owl are ones I have played as Society events and they are spectacular in their own right.

I agree with you on the RCRs.  I think it's mainly because it is hard for designers to exercise restraint when it is fantasy.  So tempting to try to make everything epic.  A whole course of epic can be exhausting.

1st Reverand Green Golf club    (maybe the best course from 1 or 2)
2nd West Country GC     (members version,Think Tour version too tough for most)
3rd El Pistolero          (so well designed and great fun to play)
4th  Old Tom's Ferry   (Just amazing use of the designer)
5th Tarwa golf club     (great use of city Scape)

Burrowing Owl 2018 would have got in if there would have been a variation of hole direction, because its such a well designed course.

Saying all that all recent courses,if i looked through my played list from a few months ago might make a diffferent list.

I think Chelsea Saint has a good knack of picking good fictional golf courses to play at the Casuals Golf Society. I just play there and it takes the hassle out of trying to find new courses.

Sounds like I have a busy weekend ahead. There are some great courses on here and a handful I have yet to play. Looking forward to it and I hope these guys keep up the good work. Course generation has been the backbone to TGC since the dawn of it's time and amazing courses are being published daily, it's impossible to keep up. Thanks for the input on this list so far.

There are so many good ones. I tend to like course that could be real. So that is what is on my list.

If anyone has not played TPC Oakwind you have to give it a run. Awesome course IMOP. I do not think I have ever broke par on the championship version with no aids. I love to hate that monster.,
