I've heard several arguments, one from a somewhat regular playing partner of many past golf games that tgc2 plays differently on his wireless ps4  than my ethernet/ wired ps4.   could there be any truth to this?  anyone else/ devs have a comment?
   when I say differently I'm talking about his claim of random sporadic shots even under perfect/perfect tempo conditions. the claim here is that the ps4 WiFi is somewhat weak and causes a miss in the tempo. I'm hoping there is no truth to this, just seeing if anyone else has an opinion about it.

I use my PS4 cabled, it tends to be a little more reliable than Wifi in general.

With the cable perfect/perfect 95% of the time.  Without it the nonsense starts with loads of fast, slow, very slow etc coming from nowhere.  Needs a big improvement for 2019.

interesting, talked my brother into the game . he's using ps4 wifi and struggling with the player clubs of course, he's new to the game.  my long time other golfer friend has been advocating forever that he's not getting the same type of smooth gameplay that I get with my hardwired Ethernet cable.  I may have to push them to feed that cable thru the wall

WOW this must be top secret stuff but I could not find a solid answer, but it appears that PS4 is 2.4 and not 5 Ghz.


My wife is having a horrible time staying connected to our router and its because of Ios updates not using 5 but always defaulting to 2.4


Tell him to check his router and see what the player is listed at for connection...if its 2.4 then yes he needs to run a wire or if he has a comp, there is free software he can download and map out his house and see where he might be getting interference

Just by its very nature Cable is always going to be slightly faster and definitely more reliable.  There is a split second it takes to broadcast and receive and then there is always the danger of random signal interference.  If you are truly hardcore you want to be hard wired with both your internet AND your controller.

thanks for the replies. it makes you wonder about it a bit.  i don't know if there's truth to it or is 1) one guy completely new to the game. 2) the other guy is just not playing enough to learn the swing which is possible.   
   i am hard wired with an Ethernet cable yet I use the ps4  wireless controller  and I experience no problems at all with mis-hits. that I think are unjust.
