I just purchased this game yesterday and I gotta say... Except for my Driving, Short Game and Putting; I'm pretty good!!!! ;D

Welcome.  Start off with the Standard clubs and play them a while to get a feel for the swing.  Then advance to the player and do the same.  No rush to get to the Tour clubs......  they are hard to get a handle on.
Take your time and enjoy the game.  Skill will come with experience.  GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY GOLFING.
