NEW & UPDATED 120919 | THE CASUALS | ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

WE NEED MORE DIVISIONS - PLEASE SUPPORT OUR REQUEST!

We're now through 6K members on 4, maintaining a rate of 100+ new per week. Huge thanks - big welcome all! Appropriate then to present our updated 'all you need to know' brief - so our many new players know precisely how we operate.

Overview

With a history dating back to the original game in 2014 - we've welcomed over 6,000 members to our PS4 TGC 2019 Society in just 12 months. And are the number one Indie - on any format - in the world! We host two skill based (HCP free/ALL Clubs welcome) tournament divisions - with multiple exciting promotions and demotions in every single event. CGE = Casuals Golf Elite - Top 100 Ranked. And UCG = Ultra Casuals Golf - 101 and below ranked. We endeavour to provide a leisurely, sporting and non time constrictive golfing agenda for both the skilled golfer; and the more casual player - all aids on/generally 'friendly' courses/circa 7000 yds tees. This while warmly embracing the lesser skilled and the ever increasing band of TGC novices.

Venue Selection

We pride ourself on our event course selections - and visit some of the most beautiful venues in the game. Our new Course Review Committee rates all new courses - providing us with a rich resource of the very best venues. We've also developed collaborative partnerships with many talented designers, who create custom courses for the CGC.

Season Schedule & Purses

One Season = 12 Weeks. Three Majors per season - THE OPEN in W4. US OPEN W8. Plus our season ending and defining Fed Ex Cup modelled Super 12s 'Champion of Champions' Series in week 12. We also host three big Championship events with a midweek qualifier in weeks 2, 6 and 10 - including our popular Super 6 World Series in week 6. Which means we have a thrilling and lucrative 'box office' event every fortnight from week 2, to season end! Prize money is big, often maxed out! With at least 95%, VERY often 100% Purses. And our Bonus Prize Funds (BPF's) are also very generous.

Weekly Format & LOW Fees

Mon-Weds - 2X (CGE & UCG) Challenger Series | 36 Holes 2 Days | Premier Level Course

Weds-Fri - 2X (CGE & UCG) Valiance Tour | 36 Holes 2 Days | PLC

Fri-Mon - 2X (CGE & UCG) The Big Week-Ender | 54 Holes 3 Days | PLC

Current Club Membership Fee 75. Tournament Entry Fee 250. Big Week-Ender Entry Fee 275. Major Entry Fee 300. Our fees are amongst the lowest out there; and for good reason. Because we want new TGC owners whose coin count will be low, to be able to afford to enter our events.

Casuals Respect

We have a zero tolerance on abusive language on our Clubhouse board. ANY defamatory or derogatory comments about CGC or your fellow members - will result in a life ban. Life's tough enough - we're here to have fun!

Check out our growing unmonetised YouTube Channel - CASUALS TV | GREAT COURSES - IN AN INSTANT

Thanks for reading. Any q's about The Casuals or TGC 2019 feel free.

TGC 2019 - PGA Tour Endorsed!

Despite quite enjoying the current fully customisable TGC2 Career - I have missed the PGA Tour full Career Mode from the EA PGA series. So the provision for a full PGA Tour Career is a marvellous evolution for the new game. Another exciting new addition will be crowds in stands as well as on the course. Which will add immeasurably to the PGA Tour experience.
never actually got into career mode on tgc2 but will definitely be checking out the one on 2019. In fact I might not bother with Tgc tours and concentrate more on designing, casuals and career mode.

TGC 2019 - Legacy Course Import & Enhance

The hugely popular legacy course 'import and enhance' feature from TGC to TGC2 - is once again availed in 2019. This time however it will be for TGC2 imports only. Gonna be super to see many of our favourite courses from TGC2 get a sharp new facelift - with the many additional creative tools afforded to designers in the new game.

TGC 2019 - Likes and Wants Part I

Just outlining a few likes and wants in the incoming TGC 2019. Firstly it's good to hear that the crowds increase the further you progress on the PGA Tour. But it would be nice also if crowd audio could be a little more shot specific. Applause for par - and increasing cheers for great approaches, birdies, eagles etc. I'm also hearing of far broader Society management parameters - including setting up specific events by ranking. While also being able to spread purses and event ranking points more broadly - all very good. Additionally the licensed gear, equipment and sponsorships sounds a fun cosmetic addition. It would also be a pretty cool feature for Societies to be able to gift members who help run the club, (and indeed event winners) with a smart new outfit or club set. Particularly with the new labelled gear and named equipment availed in 19. And finally - just general tweaks, fixes and visual advances - to fine tune what is already a fabulous and massively diverse golf sim!

Likes and Wants Part II - Societies

Delighted to hear of a much broader Society management and control provision in 19. The most exciting of which is the 'Alternate Event' feature. Which will permit two events to be run concurrently based on ranking! So we can now setup an event for say top 40 Casuals - and a secondary event for ranked 41 and below. Awesome this - because we can now run our Majors and Super 12s in a two tier skill format - and at the same time! Plus Societies will have their own message board, which clearly will improve the currently VERY limited clubhouse communication. Pleased also to hear Society assistants can be appointed to aid with running things. Very cool too that Society owners can choose green/wind speeds for events. So there'll be no more crazy super fast greens, or brutally overt wind to contend with. All very good, because we'll be able to implement a far more bespoke, member friendly set of parameters when 19 hits.

love the idea of alternate events. Currently I struggle to get in the top 40 so I might actually have a chance of top 10. Provided the handicap system works I assume it will be like before which probably means some of the very best players currently with us wouldn't be able to join?

^^ Yeah they would be able to play Matt. We'll be hosting two tier divisional events based on both ranking/hcp. So top 50 or so ranked, would play in Casuals 'Pro' event - then from 51 and below would be in 'Amateur' event - Concurrently. Difficult to say right now how it'll work out, because I need some 'hands on' to see how flexible the admin options are. But that's the general plan.

Hearing the famed boisterous audio atmosphere of Scottdale's 16th is going to be replicated by HBS. Including booing when you miss the green. 8)

^^ Hi there. Well we had 1200 on July 22, but that's now risen to 1340 as of yesterday. And though we relish the challenge - gotta start all over again when 2019 finally lands!

Ohh this a is a golf club not a society. I was wondering if a society could handle that many players. Still impressive for a club. Congrats!

^^ ? Think our wires are crossed FRST. We are a TGC2 (soon to be TGC 2019 Society), called Casuals Golf Club. And there is no in game restriction on member numbers.

Console 4K?

Xbox One X render and output at 4K. PS4 Pro render at 1600p upscaled output at 4K. Both 30fps. Hope there's an option for "1080/Performance" - far prefer slick framerate to more defined graphics.

HEY GEEZER? PORT IT OVER!

1 - Brecon GC - Designer Enef

Brand new regularly updated series kicks off now; succinctly titled.. "Hey Geezer? Port it Over!" Which showcases some great courses in TWO - that we'd all love to see get a shiny new look in TGC3.

Said it a while back - I think 2019's gonna be epic! Especially when gorgeous courses like this get a makeover. And we've the very personification of a CGC venue right here. Namely beautiful, bright, inviting and considered countrified design. And while no pushover, Brecon Golf Club isn't overly taxing either. Enef my friend - bring it! ;)

More 'Hey Geezer' soon.
