We've a stunning, exclusively created venue..

Sorry, forgot to mention.. A big thank you to leading designer Coruler for creating a fully Tour Ready edition of Negev Valley for CGC.

BUMP! WE NEED MORE DIVISIONS!

As all our regulars will know, we're looking to get more CGC Divisions (Alternate Events) in the new game/update - whenever that may be. Yeah, I know an update's highly unlikely, but you never know. So just wanna bump this to give HB a gentle reminder of our request. Please contribute your weight with a supportive comment in our topic below.

At least three Alternates would be sweet, giving us four divisions. Already named them in hopeful anticipation. How cool would this be!

'CGE' (Casuals Golf ELITE) - Top 50.

'CGP' - (Casuals Golf PRO) - 51-150.

'CGA' - (Casuals Golf AM) - 151-250.

'CGR' - (Casuals Golf Rookies) - 251 and below.

Above numbers are a guide.

WE WANT MORE DIVISIONS! PLEASE ADD YOUR WEIGHT!

ASK CHELSEA | RETROSPECTIVE

More retrospective words now as we reconsider ASK CHELSEA Q2 when I was asked..

WHERE DO YOU FIND THE TIME?

I like this one - because it's a myth. In the formative CGC days 18-24 months back, sure I put in some work. It's key to establishing the 'brand.' But now with a very hefty portfolio of archived scripted material, it's pretty much a nuanced copy and paste caper. Most 'NOW & NEXT' are adjective 'flipped' pastes, which = an absolute max of 15 minutes every other day. Digital Video Production aka (Casuals TV) is two vids or so a week @ 30 mins each - so no big time hog there. Plus a light delve around 'Course Discovery' @ 5/10 mins. So a total of around 20 mins a day.

UPDATE

Yeah the initial reply is sound, and highlights the value of groundwork when establishing a new Society. Prepare well, create strong foundations and required input gradually decreases. As mentioned, almost everything I post 'Now/Next' - 'Schedules' - 'Top 10s' - 'Casuals Classics' - even the 'Clubhouse Event Hype!' Are all based on pre written templates, requiring just light edits and a copy and paste. And with Casuals TV on a considerable sabbatical now, that 20 minutes of core tasks a day has dropped to 10-15 or so. All good. Finally - kudos to DD and Daryl, for their significant and valued work with the Course Review Panel. And the work of our Clubhouse Admins.

BRAND NEW ASK CHELSEA

Q13 | EXCLUDING TGC - WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 5 GAMES EVER?

Though I enjoy following gaming's fascinating evolution - I'm a light, sorta dabbling practical gamer. With a leaning to the more considered, slower paced and cerebral. So no frenetic beat em ups or shooters here. But there's strategy. Golf. And the best 'two' horror games ever created! My favourite 5 - here we go.

5 | PGA Tour Golf Franchise | 90%

Played most of this series on PlayStation 3. Favourite was 12 The Masters - and unlike many I liked the addition of the Caddie. Had all the courses via 'Eagle Pack' dlc. Vast longevity here - and still have a tinker to this very day.

4 | Witcher 3 | 94%

A massive and beautiful open world RPG. Lots to like here; but the 'do it your way - at your pace' freeroam aspect, is fundamental to it's greatness. I'll never get near to completing it, which is good. Great for an improvised, occasional visit.

3 | Command & Conquer Franchise | 95%

Love the addictive harvest, build, battle RTS mechanic. Love Westwood's comical - often dark, dry, ironic wit. And those pumpin' rocky, techno fuelled soundtracks complimented the gameplay perfectly.

2 | Alien Isolation | 97%

Genius design. Intelligent, thoughtful, searingly tense stealth based shocker set in the Alien universe. The utter pinnacle though of your fearful journey, is the ambient audio. Which by a distance, is the games most profound weapon. AI is a true horror masterpiece that has no peers, and comes uber recommended. Though I must give a VERY honourable mention to last gen's original Dead Space. Set aboard the floating, helpless USG Ishimura space hulk. And sees you stalked by the grotesque, horribly staccato, jerking shifting Necromorph aggressors. Ambient sound again, the core weapon of choice. Simply. Terrifying!

1 | XCOM Enemy Unknown (1994 Original) | 100%

Picked this up late 90s for PC - and have played it on and off ever since! Stunningly well conceived, atmospheric and open ended. And boasted the perfect blend of turned based strategy and base micro management. Compelling and addictive in equal measure. And for me, pound for pound - the best video game ever made!
