Uh oh, the course I’ve been building (13 holes complete) has been heavy on custom spline work...afraid to see how it imports now

First thing that I spotted is that the backgrounds are more tanned that the previous ones. It makes the courses match much worse with them.

Just to illustrate : Scotland now looks like Morocco

I think that looks a whole lot better

Hi Paul. Can you let us know what got shifted up so we know what to target to try to get the course back under the limit?

Or is this going to be like TGC1 to TGC2 where the limit got moved post-release?

At the moment I have 2 out of 5 courses getting the max object warning.

I'll try to get a list together today or tomorrow for people.

Sorry to troll your thread Reeb., but it's easier to put it all in a bunch... (Anyway, if HB prefer to have a specific thread for each bug, that can tell...)

2) (I'm on PC) When you add on object and you come back to modify, then then numeric keys do not work. I must go and test a hole and come back so that the keys work again...

Dominique

After some time spent in the designer this is a main flaw for me. Impossible to navigate between create and modify without loosing the numeric key's function.

Aaaaarrrrggghhhh !  :-[

@Doume6307 posted an image upthread comparing how the background colors changed in the Highlands theme.  Here are a two more examples with TGC2 being the top screenshot and TGC2019 being the bottom one in each example:

The Links at Dakota Bay

The Golf Club 2:

TGC2 is looking better there in my opinion ... that washed out background in TGC2019 definitely looks worse.

Here is a bit of an odd observation.

When you publish a course you need to take a picture just as before. Game does not allow you to see the picture before publication though, so you are in the dark regarding what it looks like.

I discovered that yesterday too. A bit annoying. Also I've noticed that the pictures you do take show up rather blurry and pixelated once you select the course to play.

Just wanted to add my voice to the many that are disappointed in the backgrounds. They are so washed out now in the Highlands theme that every one of them looks like desert. They have a shiny quality to them that is just so off.

Also, add me to the list of designers with a course over the limit now. Not only that, my Silverback course is STILL over despite deleting about 8 waterfalls and 1000 trees? Gotta be over 1000 now. Just crazy and I hope that it's some kind of mistake that can be fixed.

And one other question for the folks at HB. Is there any way we could get the way shapes are used in the designer back to the way they were in TGC 2? When I lay a big circle, the brush used to stay the same size as I cycled through the textures. Now it gets reset in size, and I have to zoom in real close to get it sized perfectly again to do a ring of rough.
This feature carried over from TGC 1 to TGC 2, so why the change now?

If the object size stays as is I will not be porting stuff. Also...Hyperion is DOA. Every bunker is splined and they are broken beyond any kind of easy repair.

I have been finding a few quirks as I am looking at a few more imports ... so, I remember this from the tgc to tgc2 syndrome ...

I had no problem with the first course I ported in, maybe because it was my last course I did in TGC2 ... so it ported seamless ... now I am finding out all the little quirks in the menu system ...

I just don't know if I like it or not ... time will tell ...

Hi Paul. I know you are probably busy bug fixing but any progress on this? Even if it is just the Top 5 items that have increased their object allowance. I don't want to start ripping my course apart by focussing on the wrong items.
