Occasionally when chipping or shots within 60-70 yards, my club will be locked into looking like a putter that is half buried under the ground, and when I pull back to swing, it only pulls back a tiny bit, yet still hits normally. It happened 2-3 times last night while playing.

I haven't seen this while playing a real round.  There is a glitch where you are playing around in the creator and hit the ball on the green.  If you rewind that shot, it puts the putter in your hands no matter where that previous shot was from.  Not sure if this is the same thing or not.

Ah, it's very possible, I think I was playing in my created course.
