We had a long thread about this but the short version is this.

Depending on your budget the TCL series is a great TV for the money and can hold up to much more expensive TVs. I have one upstairs and it has done very well. Looks great in 4K. Three or 4 more guys can  back it up on here as well.

If you want to spend more OLED TVs are something else. I have the C7 in my basement and it is the best TV I have ever had. I still look at it think holy ****!

Yeah I decided I missed playing golf so got it in the end.enjoying it so far ,my swing is a little off as not played for a long time tho.do you turn off all the graphics features off too when you play.i played the rcr of golf national in the rain with a rainbow looked quite cool to be honest

Seeing RDR 2 perform on the X is impressive. Looks amazing as well. Has to be the best offline game I have ever played. Rockstar has set the bar high with this one. Just incredible. I would give it a 10/10 if it wasn't for the clunky controls. Not well thought out imop.

I find myself going back and forth between "bright" and "normal" (mostly normal though) on my TCL 55R617 in the "General" TV settings.  I think I have brighter, bright, normal, dark, and darker available to me as options.  There are some courses, such as the official Sawgrass course using its default settings, in which there's an underlying hint of darkness, where I go "bright" on my general brightness settings and it gets the game to look right again. 

I'm not complaining about it as I can remedy my personal preference on this, but I was just curious to see how many others make a similar, global brightness adjustment with various courses?

I am doing the same exact thing with my new 4k TV.  I am trying to find one setting that works for 95% of the courses but its tough. I have cool, Standard, Warm 1, Warm 2.  I am trying warm 1 right now but had to bump color up a bit because it looked dark to me playing the qualifier round just now.  I want the courses to visually pop but not in a fake way, but find I end up muting the color to tone it down which I think I may dislike more.  The only thing I have not tried yet is HDR+ which is Samsung's attempt to mimic HDR for SDR content like TGC.  I have this setting on for my cable TV and it looks much better than the standard ones. Problem is that I cannot play in game mode with HDR+ on as its considered a "picture mode" like game mode and I am sure the latency, lag will be bad.  According to ratings.com my tv will go from 17 to 55 lag if not in game mode.

I find the game unplayable when I don't have my TV in Game mode.  I don't think any benefit from a "quasi" HDR mode would be worth the ~4X input lag that would be a part of it.

Well I actually tried the HDR+ and the colors were so bad that I did not even play a shot.  Interesting because for regular cable TV viewing it looks quite good. My other two games NBA2k19 have real HDR and it looks quite good and my demo of Forza looks good with HDR.  I think TGC with HDR is what will really make the game pop.  Maybe next year or a patch ?

According to hb it is in HDR . Somehow they achieved this with the icon not popping up. There was a thread about it somewhere. I pressed them on it and like most things lately... crickets.

Playing RDR2 which is 4K and HDR and comparing it to this game I would say TGC2 looks very good.

I'm going to roll that last comment back a little after looking closer. The trees and grass on RDR2 look very realistic. Not to mention the amazing lighting.

TGC looks good but not that good. Im guessing different game engine. Idk.

Now if PUBG had the graphics of RDR2 then holy poop would we have a game.

Then it should pop up on your TV before the game runs. It doesn't.
