So ported over one my courses Wentworth from TGC2 which was just short of filling the entire plant meter.

Ported it over to TGC2019 and it's telling me to remove objects. I removed half the course and it still wouldn't budge and I cannot publish. Is there a reduction in plant space or are certain items now taking up way more

The new trees are more expensive last year to accommodate all of the changes to them now.  Unfortunately, you'll have to remove some objects to get back under the limit.

I've tried removing the entire front 9 and all the trees as a test and it's still gone over?? Are trees much more expensive than TGC2???

In another thread, someone suggested deleting all the buildings.  Apparently that worked for some people.
The Golf Club 2019:

Jules Haven Wilderness Golf
The Links at Dakota Bay

The Golf Club 2:

Jules Haven Wilderness Golf
The Links at Dakota Bay

It's more than likely the trees in my case - Its an RCR of Wentworth which sadly has a bucket load of trees so just gotta figure it out a little

I thought every time a new game came out things would work better, i must be missing something, i still can't import games from tgc1 without ripping it up and virtually starting again.

When you design a course over a few months you get in the zone one thing leads to another or you could be in work and some idea pops in your head and you implement that when you get home, Paul please don't tell me you think you can just delete everything and then start afresh.

Once any job is finished you'll never capture the same spark again, it might be close but it won't be the same, like when you dumped the links theme, ok it wasn't that popular, we were told the Highland theme was compatible, compatible, every bush turned into a tree, its taken me almost a year to look half decent, admittedly i've been working on other courses but a year deleting and modifying trying to get the same feel.

We all love that we have a new game, we all love the fact that you listen to the community, but designing on the PS4 is torture, 1 undo for the life of tgc2, a step in the right direction with 2 undo's in 2019, but still stifling creativity, you say delete all the trees, you do know that when you delete anything every item disappears for a second in one big flash and you think you've lost everything, so deleting half the course is a step backwards don't you think, all console users design drunk these day's just to cope.

It would only "work better" if there were no improvements between editions.

I'd rather have better tools and better-performing trees and have to work on my ports than have crummy splines, additional lag, and easy ports.
TGC2 Courses:
Transylvania Municipal Golf Park
Glacier Meadow Par 3 Nine
Acacia National
Bearded Pelican Golf Links

TGC1 Courses:
The Golf Club at Hylan Park
Crescentic Bay Golf Course
La Playa Vacia Golf Retreat
El Toro Golf Club
