Recently played a round at a friends settings of high noon. i guess to remove shadows on the greens. Yuk.  That looked washed out and bland from every view.  Never again.  What a way to make a nice looking course look like were playing on a sega genesis.

I agree with you on this.  As a designer you can set the inclination of the sun really low to keep the midday sun at much lower angle but be careful as it can get too dark if players choose dusk or dawn settings.

I didn't see anything wrong with how it used to look, to my eyes everything is over saturated in 2019, especially the Autumn theme, I never seem to get much luck with my courses when a new version appears, when tgc2 came out most of my courses wouldn't port over properly.
Since the release of tgc2019 I haven't the heart to port any of my courses over because everything looks so bright no matter what settings I try and not a fan of the New Willow Trees, I've gone back to working on an old links course from tgc1 its so bad

Make sure you go in and select time of day: default even if it loads up already as default.  There is a bug that if u played ur last rou d at high noon every subsequent round after will play that way.
