That's much more realistic.

I'm glad that they changed that aspect of loft, because it will bring more realistic golf strategy to the fore.

The loft box has been toned down considerably, that is probably the biggest/best change. The trajectory is higher, but does not seem over done. Have not played yet just hit some balls on my practice course.

I hope that the yardage chart that they release is system generated, and not the mishmash work of some random HB employee resident duffer.

Either that, or I'd just as soon rather that they changed their mind about releasing yardage charts.

Wait... you mean to tell me that they toned down the loft box considerably?  I think some birds were still chirping to JE when they told him that we were delusional if we thought that was going to happen.  He needs some new birds.

Trajectories now look better (to me).

Spin rate increase barely noticeable?  Really only seems to affect full wedges, not pitches.

When using shot shaper on driver to create draw or fade, you can no longer see the indicator that shows how much you have moved to the right or left.  Intentional?

All pitch/flop shot distances are dramatically increased.

Fairway wood and hybrid distances dramatically reduced.

Rough and sand penalties dramatically increased.  An over correction, IMO.  Some will like it but it appears to me that they are back to TGC2 days.

Heavy rough now giving harsher lies (around 75% on the course I played)

Being plugged in a bunker now gives you 55-65% distance

3-Wood not flying far enough? Sounds eerily reminiscent of that other PC golf game.

Yardages are wrong now!  Especially 3 wood on master clubs which has dropped considerably.

It's fine, you can still fast backswing for more distance if you need it, the main thing is now you can't do 300-yarders with the 3 wood off the deck. Definitely a good thing imo, makes par 5s less of a farce. And in fact the gapping is WAY more even now, the only difference is 10 yards carry loss.
