It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of one of our most prolific posters of this forum.  Tim Scott (DivotMaker) passed away on November 7th after a long, on and off bout with Prostate Cancer.  Tim was a vital member of the Cybergolf community.  I met him in a Tiger Woods PGA Tour forum back in 1998 and chewed the fat and played in leagues and tours with him in various golf games ever since.  Tim was not shy of giving anyone his unvarnished opinion on anything and you always knew where he stood.  I feel like I've lost a member of the family  :(  Tim, you will be sorely missed but not forgotten.  You left an indelible impression on this and every other community of which you were a part.

Here's a link to Tim's obituary: https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/houstonchronicle/obituary.aspx?page=lifestory&pid=190703312

Man.  Sad news.  I knew he was battling cancer but I wasn't aware that it was that bad.

RIP Tim and thanks for all your contributions to the industry throughout the years.

Tim and I went back and forth but we did find some little times where we got along quite well..  Most of it was my pestering nature and his fortitude and great knowledge that got us arguing.   I'm very very sad over hearing this even though I've never met the guy,  I really admired his passion for the TGC franchise and all of his great contributions.   So sad,  it really is.

I only knew Tim from his posts on  the multiple virtual golf forums that I participated in.

I appreciated his blunt but well thought out opinions on virtual golf topics.

Tim will be missed by many from the virtual golfing community including myself.  :'(

I had a feeling he might have passed. Last I heard from him he said he was going in for more chemo and he would be back to play in my society. I pm him a couple times and nothing. He always got back to me so I knew it wasn't good. He fought hard and was always positive about it. I'm a little bit of shock he lost the fight . I figured if anyone would beat cancer he would. Tough as nails he was.

I have known Tim for a while going back to the Tiger forums where he was a moderator . He actually banned me once lol. We have had our differences back in the day but he always handled it professionally. One thing we always agreed on is the enjoyment of simulation golf. He was a huge influence on the progression of sim golf for the tiger series. I'm sure some of his input was felt by HB as well. Not to mention he was a hell of a player even when he was fighting cancer.

More importantly I lost a good friend and playing partner. You will be missed Tim.

RIP.

Thanks for posting this John, although saddened to hear he's lost his battle, I too knew something wasn't right these past couple of weeks. I'd mssg'd him a couple of weeks ago since he hadn't been posting just to let him know he was in my thoughts & encourage him to keep up the fight!
He'd mentioned his last hospital stint was as tough as it's been. That was the last I'd heard from him.

I like others here & around our golf communities didn't know Tim personally but sure felt like I did just from the little interaction on occasion in these forums! An all around straight up Gent imo!

My heart goes out to his family & particularly his closest & best friend, wife Karen!

Rest in peace my friend, you will me missed & yet surely not forgotten!
