Thanks HB was looking forward to this? Are there any developments in the works to purchase courses at a later date DLCs? I'm pleased about the added commentary we needed that.

Not keen on the change,  where your opponent's ball is now
close to the hole when you are putting.I know you will not hit it,but
why change it from what we had before.

Maybe it's just me but the first thing I noticed was the flop shots act more like flops and do not check and come back but do run on quite a bit. Much more realistic.

That's good to hear.  But it sounds like you can loft it up and get them to check back which I'm sure people will do in order to control their shots.

Really? Seems like a lot of time wasted on superfluous changes that don't fix anything.

How many people were asking for less total distance? This just makes it so everyone has to do unnecessary and uncalled for relearning of the game, 4 months after release?

How many people were asking for side-hill lies to kick even harder than they already did? Has anyone seen how hard they kicked, prior to the patch?

I don't like superfluous changes, that don't serve any purpose other than relearning the game, several months after release.

There are other pointless changes, as well. But, these are the most significant, to the fundamental game-play.

There are a ton of assumptions in this post.  They are likely trying to balance things out.  One change may require another change that you may or may not be able to connect the dots on.

I'm not defending them but unless you're the one play testing the changes it's pretty presumptuous of you to make some of these statements!

You misunderstand. What he is talking about is the amount you have to aim right or left depending upon the sidehill lie. One thing which I did not like was the fact that a 5 MPH wind to the left would more than counteract a severe lie where a right handed golfer would find the ball well below their feet.

This game has never, and will never be balanced to anything. What it needs to be is consistent. It's totally out of control to be fidgeting with unnecessary fundamentals - 4 months after release.

What did making fast shots travel shorter fix?

What did making side-hill lies more severe fix?

It's just pointless changes, more befitting of an early access game; Not a game that's already released, months ago.

- Minor re-balancing of down-swing tempo penalties - re-balanced the rate of spin for slow/fast | very slow/very fast downswing tempos.

Re-balancing to what? Please explain how the spin changed. More, less... what changed?

This is an oversimplification. A 5mph would not counteract every side-hill lie. It would only counteract a side-hill lie that was less severe than the wind calculation.

There were red side-hill lies prior to the update, that had a significant adjustment. I'm just trying to figure out what the purpose of increasing the effect is. It's just a calculation... now we just learn the new calculation. But, what's the point in changing it, if it's already making a big difference?

The effect of severe hanging lies needed to be fixed. It was insanely unrealistic before.

I always saw significant horizontal movement on a red side-hill lie, prior to the patch.

What was unrealistic about it? Can you show me a video of the bug, prior to the patch?

Where are the links to the bug reports for it?

You should be able to hole more flop shots now, its much easier to judge the ball rolling toward the hole then trying to spin the ball back into the hole.

So why did you guys reduce the amount of distance you get with a fast swing? If anything it should have increased. It brings in more risk reward which is what makes golf fun. I mean a fast down swing means more clubhead speed right? Also why did the power draw get nerfed with less draw? I don't understand that decision either.

I only played about 10 holes but I like the power fade. Feels odd though swinging slow to get more distance.

My limited play time I didn't think the swing was any easier or harder. About the same for me.

The flop shot is still to easy to hit but I like that it doesn't spin . A lot of use have been asked for that for a long time.
