Reading old post, what is the ‘ you’ve reached your used objects limit’ ..and how do you know if ur approaching it..does that refer to all objects or some..I only have 9 of 18 holes done and my wife has lots of landscaping so to say left to do.
Hey, who invented the tape measure?

If you look along the top of the screen, there is a bar that goes left to right as your object/planting meter fills up.  There is no exact number shown but when it gets all the way to the right, you will reach the limit.

Ya, this topic again. The object used bar, right now end of bar is just past letter "e" hole(above bar) ..how far past does it go.Would it's current position be half way? We still have 9 holes to go.

If you remove generated objects, does that allow replacement for you to put objects in?

Like remove a tree, plant a tree?

I'd hate to have my wife planting etc on say the 14th hole and run out.

It pretty much goes all the way to the right end of the screen before it tells you you've reached the limit. Generated objects do not count towards the object meter. Only extra things you add. So it's actually better to set the generated trees, plants, and rocks higher and then delete what you don't want because those objects do not count against the object meter.

You should only get into trouble with the object meter if you have a lot of moving features like waterfalls or a lot of very dense planting everywhere. You really can do a lot of planting and not worry about the object meter. You're more likely to run into lag issues (too many planted/moving objects in one area, causing the game to briefly freeze due to loading) before you have issues with the object meter

The only thing which will increase the amount of planting you can do is  to design on PC with a decent graphics card.

I was only able to go up to just over 1/2 on the object meter on PS4.  A little more on PS4 Pro.
PC with a decent Graphics card is the way to go.
i9 9900k 8 Core 5.O GHz.
Asus ROG STRIX Z390 E Gaming.
64 GB DDR4 3600 RAM
2X Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB m2 RAID level 0
EVGA GTX 1080 SC. Windows 10 64 Bit

I can go to the limit on Ps4 , it just
takes five or six seconds every time
you plant a blade of grass and that's
on new builds , but with imported
courses it's almost impossible with it
constantly crashing you just eventually
have to give up and publish .... :o

It turns from yellow to red as it fills, also.  I've gone 3/4 (mostly with loads of grass & flowers) to full on my XB1 w/no issues.

Ive wondered if "object clusters" take up less meter/memory/space than a comparable amount of individual objects, as long as you don't break 'em up ?  Less individual location data to store, maybe ... or not. I haven't done any programming since, oh, 1991 or so, LOL.

I've read people say using the multi-plant tool actually uses more of the object meter than doing individual planting.
