While playing TGC the other day with my brother he pointed out how a certain elevated green looked extra realistic because it seemed like it was elevated for high tide precaution. So I got to thinking well I could probably make that happen.

And sure enough I went back and edited the course. I placed and water body as large as I could and simply raised the tide.

Now aware of this concept I think it would be pretty cool to design a course with the intent of a high and low tide version.

For now I’m happy with this.

“The Marshes at Gulfwater” -Lowtide Version

“The Marshes at Hightide” - Hightide Version.

Below are some before and after examples.

I like the fact that you are exploring different ideas with the designer.  I always try to come up with something new with each course I make.  It keeps it from getting stale.  I tried doing 2  18 Hole courses on the same plot of land with views of each course from the other.  It ended up being 4 courses by having a meeting point and then the front 8 from one with the back 10 from the other.  It’s called The 4 Pines.  They’re called the Knobcone @ 4 Pines and The Ponderosa @4 Pines etc......   I had fun doing them and learned a few things doing them.  Keep pushing the boundaries.

Thanks RockMan! I too am constantly brainstorming new ideas. I’ve often thought about doing the two courses in one but never committed. I’ve also thought it would be cool to just put like a mini-course or putting green in just like a random backyard on a course you could play on. I have a handful of backyard style courses, so it would be cool to incorporate one on a real course.

I’ll also definitely check out those courses!

I definitely made a rooftop one before, wonder if they were the same. Haven’t uploaded it to TGC19 yet.
It had its fair share of issues. I forgot to put the “out of bounds” areas on the first one. So if you missed a roof it was game over haha
