People play however they want that is the beauty  of it. My guess that is the reason a lot of people join it being the alternative is playing ranked which is horrible IMOP.

I try to get master only 18 hole match play and usually get one pretty quick. I play with no assists but I do not care if they other person plays with them on.

All I can say is time will tell whom was right or wrong on this matter,  but as I said before I've gotten strong feedback on how much this game means to HB.
And when is the last time you fired up the game to play it on either Playstation or on the PC ... I am betting over a year ...

dang,  I only will play on PS4 just because my PC is bogged down with work stuff and I can't afford to mess it up..  Also,  I don't want to purchase for PC either just as you don't for ps4...   I know that the ps5 is going to allow cross platform so I'm hoping that somehow we can all play again someday!!

It has been a while,  probably nearly a year.  I quit playing for a few reasons.  #1,  I had to get back into the swing of taking care of other business and I didn't need the distraction,  but around the same time I found myself getting very frustrated with how the online experience worked in terms of quick matches and not being able to play with randoms using same clubs.  I also was incredibly frustrated at how hard it was to simply create a game and send an invite.  I thought having to open a party chat room before you could send a match over was counter productive.  I also hated how if you did set up a match,  it was impossible for your friend to setup up the next match without starting a new party room.   Basically loved the gameplay though,  I played the career mode a ton and got more than my money worth for sure.  I honestly would of absolutely loved the career mode if we could of created our own seasons and courses and shared with other.  They could of at least allowed that to happen using handicaped courses in my opinion.

On a sidenote-  I would be very open to start playing again on the PS4 if you would like Ddawg?  Would love to have a drink and catch up.

If you're talking PC ... your on ... Koda and me still play all the time via TeamSpeak.  We have around 8 players that get together at various times ... easy to get 4 on any given time ...

As far as PS4 goes ... only way I will install 2019 on it is if it is free.  I paid my dues to HB ... I love the game, but it needs fix'n ....

Devils Rain (updated)

2k did what exactly to market a game whose release was about the biggest fustercluck I have seen in the video game world. How HB manages to get themselves entangled with Maximum then 2k and can't say sheet about anything strikes me as kinda funny.

New HB Studios CEO Jamey Seaboyer was quoted in a late November, Lighthouse Now article as saying:

"We're looking at [hiring] anywhere from five-plus more [software] engineers at this point, but we're also looking at bolstering our 3D art department. I don't really see that slowing down anytime soon,"

https://lighthousenow.ca/article.php?title=Lunenburg_video_game_developer_names_new_chief_exe

Those sound like personnel needs a development team creating a new golf game *might* have.  Of course, they could be developing a number of different things with the same needs, but at least it doesn't sound like HBS is in any sort of decline ???

Cool to know... so they were proactively pursuing people with a course design reputation?  That might be a positive indicator for another golf product ;) 8)

I have no doubts at all that there will be a new game at some point.
I’m sure the radio silence from HB has something to do with separating themselves from 2K though.  There was something similar when they ditched MG.  I’m sure that once their future direction has solidified with whatever partnership they may or may not be working on that we will be hearing a lot about the upcoming game.

You're right; it did indeed happen that way between Maximum Games and 2K.  Knowing that makes the silence a little easier to swallow.

With the few real sales of the last game at full price, I suspect there are not much $ to be allocated for a new game. We could be waiting for a while, maybe even another year.

What if EA is somehow involved in it?  I think they'd be willing to float a little seed money to make it happen this year.
