How nice would it be, to put down a ball drop area. If you were able to add a drop zone, you wouldn't have to drop somewhere that wasn't even near the hole you are playing. Especially for your hole with a island green.

A very good Idea. There should also be provision for the man made object rule.

Shouldn't be that difficult to implement. Just simply draw a spline to identify the area where the ball would land and then designate the drop spot related to that area. Maybe in the next game.

i mentioned this way back in TGC2,just need a separate brush like the OOB brush and place little markers down,It was said its not as easy as it sounds to do.

The feature list on 2019 and previous versions are missing too many simple features that even the basic golf game of 15-20 years ago would have. It's a shame as the potential to be a serious game is held-back due missing features.

I think the problem is that the game follows the basic rule for water hazards which basically dictates the ball can be dropped anywhere not nearer the hole on the line where it started crossing the hazard. Because the ball could be crossing the hazard in many different spots its impossible to estimate where the drop would take place. Drop zones afaik are local course rules and there would need to be a special option coded into the game to add one to override the drop rules on a per course/hole basis
