I was thinking earlier when I was working on a green and was adjusting the slopes that maybe having an option to have the grid show up on the fairway would be useful.  I think it needs to be a toggled on and off option and only be available in the GNCD. I just like being able to see how the terrain falls and having a grid on the fairway when designing a course would be pretty nice. It would show you where balls might funnel, etc. I know you can look at the terrain and get a general idea but you could really tweak the fairways having the gird showing the slopes. I'm probably the only one who would want something like that or maybe it would be easier to show elevation on the cursor in relation to the teebox or green.

Curious if anyone would be interested in something like this or not?

Not sure how difficult it would be for HBS to add this to the GNCD?

Feedback please!!  8)

Not a fan of grid read fairways

Even if used only for design purposes and not used for game play, even in GNCD (testing how your course plays)?

I would go for any kind of slope reading tool in the designer.

Being able to move the cursor around and see the slopes in different parts of the green would be handy as well (instead of moving the flag around to get that done.)

While you're at it adding some sort of measuring tool would be a bonus.  However, instead of displaying just a distance displaying elevation changes would be a nice touch as well.

It would also be nice to have some way to execute a certain type of shot in the course designer.  I waste soooo much time repeating approach shots when my darn controller hits the random 85% shot or I fail to hit it straight after playing over and over.  Now, I usually let it go to see where it lands but when I want to see where the ball winds up when good players hit it I'm forced to waste a bunch of time hitting again and again.

A wire-frame overlay for designing would be a great help.
