removing mountains

Need a little help guys...im building a course usuing the rural theme but i do not want mountains in the background. Is there any way to remove these mountains? Any help would be appreciated,

You could raise the landplot considerably to reduce the effect of the mountains. Then you could raise just the edges of the plot to obscure them a bit more.

I like the mountains. Kind of gives the course a valley vibe. Now, rolling hills would be nice or corn fields:) Anything to keep a nice country vibe.

I've been championing the idea of interchangeable and rotatable backgrounds (Aka, the mountains).  Imagine an alpine theme with 4 different kind of backgrounds:
-Mountains on all 4 sides (current)
-Mountains on one side, coast line on the other
-Flat with mountains very far in the distance
-On side is a large close mountain the golf course rests on, the other side looks down on a city.

Best part is, you can rotate the background around your map.  So if you have a hole with mountains in the background and you don't like it, you can rotate the background until your tee shot is framed the way you want.

I'd like to second that rotatable backgrounds idea, or better still have a choice somewhere, where you can choose what you like. Great idea Guitardude !
