I will try to review cedar creek and the club at horseshoe bend both when I get home from work. I will do a twitch broadcast around 4pm PST and then put them on YouTube. Hopefully I don't have the same issue with sound as I did with the Majestic Pines review.

I'm glad you guys are enjoying these. I like doing them, playing new courses, offering feedback, and stealing some of your hole design ideas  ;)

Give Deliverance Golf Club a try if you get a chance

Cedar Creek Country Club- by DDawg- Full video review at http://www.twitch.tv/crazycanuck1985/b/597226179 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8aLaOaaMPE

A Boreal Blast

Pros
-Very strong finishing holes (13-18)
-Some good variety in holes with shot shaping opportunities
-Very nice setting and good use of the boreal theme..makes for some very nice holes

Cons
- Inconsistent bunkering (some holes look great, others not so much)
-Rough "ribboning" around fairways also inconsistent
-A bit on the flat side

Verdict- A few minor issues shouldn't stop you from trying out DDawgs latest.- 7.5/10- Reccommended

A Dusky Delight

Pros
- Excellent lighting. The dusky feel really makes most of the holes really pop!
- A tough test of golf, but not at all to the point of unfair.
-Some very memorable holes. (#2 was my favorite)

Cons
- Too many "stock" bunkers. Be adventurous and test out the other brush shapes! Combine them! See what you come up with.
- A few holes left me wondering "so when I hit the ball off the tee..how the heck am I supposed to get to the fairway?"

Verdict- A very strong and polished course. This is a very underplayed course, do yourself a favor and go out and enjoy it! Highly Recommended- 8.5/10

Minimalism Done Right

Pros
- A minimalistic feel..not alot of bunkers..but the excellent planting and contouring make you feel like they aren't needed, which is a good thing!
- Quite a few standout holes (#10 and 15 were favorites)
- The bunkering that was there was done well
- A great looking boreal course

Cons
- A couple bland par 3's
- #17 was very narrow, didn't really fit the look of the rest of the course.

Verdict- If you hate sand, this is the place for you!  Highly recommended 9/10

I can't argue with any of those points I definitely felt like the par 3's were the weak part of the course.

And I WAS trying to make it minimalist so glad you picked up on that and enjoyed it.

Thanks so much I wish I'd have tuned in to watch the twitch

You do a great service and your reviews are great.

You aren't putting properly tho... you should move the marker back and forward to adjust distance :)

Some comments on your comments

#1 bunker on the left?  I TOTALLY missed it lol.  It was auto gen'd there when I did the create hole and I forgot to take it out because it was somewhat hidden lol

I think you are spot on the 16 being too narrow and not fitting the course and 17 that tree is there to allow you to shape the ball either a draw or setting it out left and fading it back in.

I completely agree on the par 3's and the last one that has little spots of water... you looked at it but did not comment... over on the left is a beaver dam so I was trying to go for a "the beavers damned this up and it's drying" look there :)

Thanks for doing this for the community it's a great service.

Thanks for the kind words and putting tip! I can't believe I didn't realize that until now. Thanks again for letting me review your course. Really enjoyed it!  And yes I do see that the tree on 17 is there to make you shape your approach in. As for the par 3 with the "puddles"...usually I don't like that look but I had an idea what you were doing there and the look worked for me!

For everyone else out there, I'm sick and taking the day off, so if you want your course reviewed fast, today is a good day  :)

Thanks so much for the review and the feedback.

FYI, your voice and the announcer's voice were eerily similar.  :)

I totally agree on the bunkers, and about a week after I released it I realized the same thing.

I did have paths to the fairway, but did them in heavy rough.  I think light rough is the way to go next time.  They don't stand out at all unless you look at them from directly overhead.  That's a change I will for sure implement next time.

Thanks again for doing this.  I know this is time consuming and the course designers I'm sure appreciate it.

For my second course, I'm pretty happy with it.  I think the review was very fair and I'm glad you've enjoyed playing.

Hey Craze,

I'm sick of the heavy rain here (as well as being retired) and taking the day off too  ;D

give my course Pilgrim Hills GC a whirl if you wish

I went for a realistic, rolling Cape Cod USA terrain look using the Boreal theme and would welcome thoughts on playability, challenge (or the lack thereof) etc
