This is a fantastic tour for anyone on the fence about playing. Been playing each week from day 1 and its a blast. Chelsea does a wonderful job of selecting great courses and keeping everyone involved/interested. Looking forward to seeing some new names on the leaderboard this week with handicaps. Good luck to all.....more importantly.....Have Fun.

CGT Battle at Beaver Creek

Full Handicap Event

CGT tournament criteria is well and truly satiated this week. As we feature a beautiful relatively less taxing course, which boasts sharp loads and smooth gameplay. As ever a none too demanding 36 hole format and our plentiful five day completion window, all culminating in a traditional Sunday finish. So here we go on yet another drama fuelled Golfing journey, and a real opportunity for TGC newcomers and casuals to bag a piece of that top ten action.

Should be very interesting to see how this one develops. Tournament is now live. Good luck all. :)

CGT Battle at Beaver Creek - Day One

Entertaining opening 24 hours over at Beaver, with the handicap process impacting on our leaderboard stats. Pleasing to see some new competitors and casuals up there too. So here we go with all the latest numbers from The Battle at Beaver Creek!

At number 1, battling a plus handicap is CGT veteran Kckfire on -10 nett. In 2, another welcome regular ISKN at -9. Tied 3rd, newcomers El lobo and Zach shoot very respectable even pars. Tied at 5th, we have JGHJ and Rambo thumping useful +1's. At 7.... Wow! My bird!! Well played Foxy at +2. :) Sharing 8 are Jezholme and Marco on +4, with Natron completing the top ten carding a solid +5.

Developing into a little cracker this one, and 4 days left for new entrants to impact that leaderboard. Well played all!

CGT Battle at Beaver Creek - Day Three

There's much battling in evidence over at Beaver Creek this week with many ties in our top ten standings. Kck however retains pole position after that impressive early -10. ISKN is joined at 2 by Cwbyfan on sub 9, Neil moves into 4th with a fine -5, with El lobo and Zach tied at 5 after shooting par rounds. And there's a dramatic five way split for 7th as JGHJ, Rambo, Keith, Iansyl and Jmz all record gritty +1's.

So two days remain of the Battle at Beaver Creek, with the conclusive and always dramatic weekend looming. Can Kck maintain his prime position as some of the bighitters join the Golfing fray? We're about to find out!

Cheers to all participants, great turnout to date. And as ever, whether you go high or low your contribution to the event is appreciated. :)

Battle at Beaver Creek - Tournament Roundup

The hotly contested battling at Beaver Creek has ceased and our victor emerges after a wonderfully tight tense five days of competitive Golf. Kckfire hung on in there all week and that sturdy -10 makes him our CGT Battle at Beaver Creek Champion! Very well played mate. But it was close, with a trio of sub niners clawing at his heels. Congrats to ISKN, Cwbyfan and Leesomes late charge who all tied for second with fine -9's. Coda hit a delicious ace on 13 helping him along to -8 and 5th, Neil316 achieved an excellent sixth place on -5, Nuters late dash saw him grab 7th at -4, while Ramjet bagged 8 on sub 3. Creditable even pars saw El lobo and Zach tie for 9th, and a cluster of guys shared 11th at one over. Namely, JGHJ, Rambo, Keithslater, Iansyl and Jmz.

Fantastic tournament, very well supported, thanks to all participants. This handicap process has certainly proved popular, so we'll roll with it for now. We'll be back Tuesday with yet more CGT Golfing action, with our course selection to be revealed Monday. Have fun out there. :)

Ta for the supportive words chaps, much appreciated. Much like I'm sure all will appreciate the beauty and form of our tournament venue this week...

Next On CGT

The sunny Algarve coastline beckons the CGT this week as we make a pleasant trip to Vale do Morgado for the CGT Morgado Trophy. Yet another idyllic course this one, beautifully crafted, with varied elevation and boasting an array of pleasing vistas. Check the link for evidence of that. We'll go handicap again after last weeks solid turnout, with first tee as always Tuesday at 5pm UKT. Good luck all.

CGT Morgado Trophy

Tournament now live. This is a casuals friendly full handicap event. Usual MO of 36 holes, 5 day window, regular tournament reports and as ever all are welcome. Any q's from newcomers feel free to ask. Have a good one!

Ps - Apologies, forgot to mention the designer of this beaut yesterday. Cheers Biggins on yet another marvellous course design.
