RBI Baseball 15
« on: April 09, 2015, 02:23:38 PM »
Just wanted to know if there are any planned bug fixes for RBI Baseball 15 on the Xbox One. It's in pretty rough shape now and the community is not too happy about it. Thanks.

Here are a list of bugs we've noticed:

Here is a bug list off the top of my head:

1. Pick off glitch during online play. When you have 2 men on base there is a 100% chance they can get picked off. Very annoying when some exploits this.
2. A glitch where sometimes your outfielder will field a ball and you cannot throw it or move. The game only advances when the runners all score. I've seen this only online thus far.
3. Timeout search time way too short. When I search for a game online it times out in about 20 seconds if it can't find anyone. I think a quick fix, in lieu of a true matchmaking system, would be to push the timeout value of the search up to a minute or more. That way at least I could find a game on a regular basis without having to keep pressing "Search."
4. I've also seen what I believe to be an exploit where a team will hit a ball, then all of a sudden my team will freeze and the other team will keep scoring runs until they 10 run me.
5. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose, but the starting pitcher's stamina goes away way too quick. Felix Hernandez does not throw 60mph after 4 innings of a 2 hit game. Come on!

Sorry I bought this game. Was hoping for The Golf Club quality game, but I guess its a different group that worked on this.  Last years was awful (I know you had nothing to do with it) but this years isn't any better. Oh well , for $20 guess you get what you pay for.

Yeah, the game is just maligned with bugs everywhere. It's like they didn't put it through QA at all. I get that mlb probably pressured them to get the game out by Opening Day, but the lack of communication by HB Studios on the game makes me worry that they'll never fix the bugs. It's sad because it could have been a really fun arcade game. From now on I'll wait for reviews for any HB Studios games before I decide to buy.

Although their The Golf Club game received poor reviews, the game is superb. I play it daily and love it. Was hoping since it's the same company, this baseball game would be great as well. HB's history with the golf game updates has been fantastic, so I wouldn't rule out fixes in the future. It could have been a fun arcade game and hopefully still can be.

Oh I know. The Golf Club is the best golf game I've ever played. It's about as sim as you can get and the course editor is ridiculously good. I 100% tell every golf fan to get that game. Unfortunately, I have been telling my baseball fan friends not to get RBI. Wait another year maybe it will be better.

Another bug:
1. On the leader board it shows I have a 0.00 era. I'm good, but I can assure you I've given up some runs over the course of my 30 games. It might have to do with the fact that there is some bug when I 10 run people because most every game that is what happens. The 1 game I had a full 9 inning game I noticed the era went up to .26, but I just played a game where I 10 runned someone and it went back to 0.

Hello HB Studios,

As usual wishing you a good day. I was wondering if HB Studios was going to create a forum for R.B.I. Baseball 15? Maybe you are waiting on the PC version to release first? Which leads to my next question, when can we expect the Steam version to be released? I'm seeing some grumbling beginning to start after the console releases but I have faith in HB Studios but only if I can see active involvement in the development. I already pre-ordered so I'll be getting whatever comes. I'm o.k. with that even if it was only to throw some money your way. I would just appreciate some more communication on this front. I just find it odd that the Studio released a product without any community interaction and involvement. At least I can't find any (point me in the right direction if there is a forum or news). I'm hoping HB Studios will be actively involved in the continued development of the game.

Thanks for your time,

-Stone :)

P.S. I posted this also in the "What's Next" section but wanted to make sure I caught someones eye as soon as possible so I re-posted it here.

I was unhappy with RBI 14 and seems 15 is a lot better but maybe it needs 2-3 more years

I made a post on the other forum for game ideas...let's see what happens

From what I understand HB Studios didn't make RBI 14 so we can't blame them for that steaming pile of feces. We can blame them for this one though that apparently they don't care about judging from the lack of response we've got about the bugs.

Another 2 bugs:
1. In Safeco field if you hit the ball to right field in between the foul pole and the crowd and hit the wall it will be counted as a fair ball. It is clearly foul because it's on the other side of the line.
2. I have 42 sbs showing in the smart match leaderboard yet I get no achievement for stealing 25 bags in online smart match .

Another bug:
1. When you quit out on online smart match you are not given a loss. This makes the leaderboard have 0 integrity.
