Hole 6, Par 3:  One of the best par 3's in Utah.   Short to mid length iron, hitting across the Hobble Creek into a tightly wooded green complex.  A small walking bridge is the only way onto the green and the walk from tee to green is extremely beautiful and serene.

From the tee:

Just crossing the bridge, on the left side of the green, looking towards the right most bunker.

From behind the green, looking back towards the teeboxes.

Man you are making me home sick! I have all the holes placed and have the surrounding elevations roughly in place, going to start on hole one today, so hopefully ill have some pictures to post soon... How was your round on Saturday?

Cancelled due to poor weather, so we went and played Valley View instead, as the storm was to the south, not the north.

I have a tee time there this Saturday morning though, and I'll fill in any missing pictures, as well as take some notes on green breaks/slopes for ya.

Hole 7: Par4 Short, straight and relatively simple par 4.  Should be easy to do.

Hole 8: Par 4:  Mid Length Par 4, with a severe slope if you miss on the right side of the fairway, everything on this hole slopes to the left.

Where is Springville, UT?

I've played a few Utah courses in my life-  Moab, Logan River, Bountiful, and a few courses around Wasatch which I forgot the names of.  Just trying to figure out where this course lies in relation.

Great pics!

Springville is just south of Provo.  It's about 45 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Last night I got a lot of hole number one setup, also did a lot of work around the club house area. Set the course up in Harvest, but since it doesn't have a good evergreen, I switched to countryside. Still, wish it had a good puffy pine tree or two.

There are a handful of courses that I've heavily considered recreating, and yes Hobble Creek was in that small group of courses.

Hole 9: Par 5  Reachable in 2 par 5, a few nasty bunkers on the right, and the sloping hill from hole 8 as well.  The flagpole at the clubhouse is a great point of reference when you are playing. Perhaps you could replace it with a lighthouse?  ;)

Need one from the teebox

From about 125yds out.

Hole 10,  Par 3  A spectacular downhill par 3 to start off the back 9.  I hope you can get the mountains behind the green shaped correctly.  Let me know and I can try to give you some tips.

From the right side tee (BLUE/WHITE) box:

I got on Google Pro today and measured out every hole, green sizes, tee boxes... With the mountains, I was thinking of removing the trees and using heavy rough to try and resemble the tree and brush patches. What do you think of that Idea? Any tips will be well welcomed!
