When and if you ever make it in to SLC, we should all get together for a round of golf.  I'd be up for it.  I moved to Denver 6 months ago for work, but still have UT in my territory so I come to town every 3 weeks for a week.

I'd be happy to join you for a round if/when you are back in Utah.

That would be a lot of fun, just don't know when my next trip to Utah will be.

I'll be back in Salt Lake on Friday June 5th.  We will be leaving for Moab Thursday June 11th.  I can play the 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, or 10th.  I would also invite one of my buddies, he has his own golf wear clothing line called Ace Golf.  His hats are in a few golf shops in Ut.  Let me know Yeti.

Your doing a great job on these holes.  I look at the pictures without reading what hole to try and see if I know what hole it is and so far I've been able to tell no problem.

Great Job!

The later holes might get tricky like hole #16 with the cabins up above.  I love that hole.  Great elevation change!!

Yeah 15 and 16 elevation change is going to take some time to get right. By the way I got a hole in one on 16 when I was fourteen, never had one since. I was playing from the blue tees and from there you can't see the green, so I didn't even know it had gone in, until we found it in the hole.

does the real course have such a thin strip of rough?
They have done it before, I remember them doing it a couple of times for tournaments like the state am. I like the look of it.

I have a ton of photos of the back 9 to put up and help you out, but i've had a crazy busy work week.  This weekend I'll get some stuff up for ya.   Thats awesome about the ace on 16.   A few years ago I hit the flagstick on 16, and the ball was about 2 1/2 feet away.   Being a blind shot, hearing the plastic-sounding 'thunk' of the pin was pretty cool.

One other thing... be sure to put a couple of  cabins in the trees behind the green at 10.  :)

Awesome! excited to see the picts you got! Im planning on setting up 17 next, since it runs along 12. the funny thing about the ace, was that I was playing with these two drunk guys in a cart, after we hit, they raced down to the green and one of them noticed the ball when he was walking across the green, he then popped out the flag, picked out my ball and said "nice shot" as he threw it to me. So i didn't even get to pick it out of the hole... guess Im still irritated by it, 22 years later...

I think I remember hearing that "thunk" a couple of times while playing it with other people...

Im saving the cabins for last, since planting is such a valuable thing. want to make sure I have the trees right first.

More photos incoming:
I FORGOT to bring my good camera with me the other week, so sorry for the poorer quality of some of the photos!

Hole 11, Par 4
A medium length par four, with a really tight landing area.  The tee shot is slightly down hill, and slightly bends to the right. The bunker on the right side of the hole is shared with the next hole, hole 12.

From the tee:

Slightly closer.

Hole 12 Par 4

Coming back against the last hole, this tough par 4 is split down the middle by the hobble creek, once again.   The creek can be reached with a really good drive, often times forcing a layup in front of the creek.

Hole 13, Par 5

Tough, tight par 5 with a dangerous second shot over the hobble creek. The hole is lined with tall trees on the right, and doglegs gently to the left.  The Hobble Creek once again crosses right in front of the green complex making placement of shot 2 crucial.

Hole 14, Par 3

Mid length par 3,  tricky hole but not much to it.   The Hobble Creek crosses in front of the green once again, and there is a small pond to the back/right of the green as well.

From the tee.
