Fantastic this is one of the most realistic looking courses I have played. The trees mess with the frame rate a little on xbox but that doesnt matter it is very well done.

Fantastic! I know it will need a little tweaking, so please be honest in what you find that I need to change. I have already softened up the green on 3 and a couple of other minor things. I also changed the pin on 7. I would love to know what you think about the speed and slope of the greens and tee elevation changes?

Hey there!  I'm going to log into the TGCTLive! Twitch account later today and give your course a go and provide feedback and notes for ya.  If you can join live, great! otherwise the replay should be available for the next few weeks.   I'm really looking forward to it.

Disclaimer: I've never played or seen this course IRL aside from some of the pics posted in this thread.  I know literally nothing about this course aside from it appears to be set into some sort of creek which they named Hobble.  Some off the cuff impressions from my first round as I played.  I played your ghost FriendBOMBER that shot a -12 59.

-Extremely slopped greens, very difficult for me to putt and really makes you think about shot placement into the green.
-I can tell right away there is going to be some excellent elevation work which will challenge my mediocre TGC skill set.
-Eagled the par5 3rd with my personal best putt that I can recall. A 40 footer on a massive side hill that played 80 feet, sunk in dead center!  I will always remember this hole because of that putt.
-Loved the tree work behind #10, well done
-Excellent tee shot decision on #12.  I clubbed down to a 5w and was left with a nice 135 yard approach shot.
-Loved the tee box view on the 14th, providing one of the most unique par3 tee shots I've seen, then having to strategically cut a tree on the right then another well placed tree on the left, creating the perception of a shot through a "chute"& into the green (quickly realize you fly the trees easily with a 9iron), then I proceeded to lip out a 8 foot putt for birdie.
-#15 is a tough par4.  My drive of 258 yards left with a massively uphill 184 yard iron shot into a 10mph side wind!

I really enjoyed the contrast between how narrow some holes were compared to how wide open others were.  It kept me on my toes with nearly every tee shot.

I feel like if I played this course IRL that I would struggle immensely on many holes, which is exactly how I played it in TGC with a +4 75 which included an eagle, 3 birdies, 2 bogies, 2 doubles & a triple.  To say these greens were a struggle for me would be a huge understatement.  I feel like this course was challenging enough to provide many replays for me, if only to work on putting with many uphill/downhill/sidehill lies.

Thank you for the awesome walk through of your round! believe it or not the greens at hobble really are tough IRL, but I will be toning some of them down that I have learned are too severe form the beta test. I also received some excellent feedback from Yeti yesterday, so ill be making a few more modifications. Then i'll just be waiting for the cart paths to finish it!

Just curious because I can see myself playing this many times on TGC, what is the "story" with this course IRL?  Public course, private club, hosted any amateur or pro events?  What would the "local" perception be?

Absolutely! Hobble should be, if not the number one rated public course in Utah. I happened to grow up about 15 min from it. Played it almost every day as a kid. It was my high school golf teams home course and even played it on my college team. It's hosted the state am a number of times and is home to the art city am every year. needles to say I've spent many many hours there! I now live in Ohio and rarely get to play it. So making it on TGC was a dream come true, and now I can tee up there "virtually" any time I like! I'm glade you enjoyed your round and look forward to you playing it again. I am also on XB1 and will  send you a friend request, maybe we can tee it up some time!
