Maybe they think it's still worth it after the user implemented 3D grass texture enhancement has become a bit of a thing?  Seriously, I don't think Perfect Parallel, or now more accurately - Trackman - monitors what's going on with the desktop version very carefully.

If it goes on sale for $20 at some point in the future, I'd grab it.  I don't see it happening though as I honestly think the desktop version of this game is not on Trackman's mind right now.  It's not that they're too cheap to put it on sale for $20, it's more a matter of the desktop version of the game is not on their radar right now.  They're making a whole lot more money of the simulator version.

Interesting development in the Perfect Golf world today... an announcement was made that in the Simulator  section of Perfect Golf's forum that Trackman would be pulling the plug on Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf sim passes one year from now.  There was some uncertainty among JNPG PC players as to how this would affect them.  Mike Jones posted the following message to respond officially to that:

"This has nothing to do with PC game players it's just a sim pass thing. I'm really sorry for Zmax and all the guys at OGT who have done an amazing job over the years but if you think about it, it's a logical decision from Trackman and if anything IMO makes a new game more likely now for PC/Console."

Interesting   ....

It is for a fact.  I thought that Trackman had bought Perfect Parallel out, but after reading this, it sounds like Perfect Parallel is an autonomous entity.  They're apparently not going to be making any more money off of their Trackman arrangement after next August, which I guess would open the door for a possible PC, and he even tacked on console version of what we'd call PG 2.

Maybe he and Andrew will be more free to talk about it, with JNPG/Trackman in lame duck status?

Definitely the most viewed thread by a long margin in their "Off Topic" section, but still less than 1/24th of the numbers the seed you have planted has generated here!  8)

Hmm.

1. An announcememt about changes to the game that for some users will be very negative.
2. A leading person in the dev team - spolesperson for the game - commenting and addressing specific parts of the community to clarify and offer context.

I have ridiculed the PP communication in the past, but this very standard way of announcing a change makes them look like master PR wizards compared to HB...

As a sim software for TrackMan - their product is awesome. Included many famous RCRs that are really well made.

Maybe they will release a new version and include ******* ******* as part of a larger TrackMan deal. Would be awesome to be able to play an authentic ******* tournament.
