Hi folks, so thanks to Tarbats great steps we were able to reproduce the issue he was encountering almost instantly and we were able to understand why we were having such a hard time reproducing it. This is an xbox only issue. A permanent fix is in the pipe. As a temporary workaround please do the following, play seasons while online and you will have to abandon your current season if it is exhibiting this problem.

Sorry, can you clarify.  Are you saying that if I play a season online I will have to abandon my current season?  I can't always play online, given the unreliable internet connection here.

As a temporary workaround please do the following, play seasons while online and you will have to abandon your current season if it is exhibiting this problem.

Okay, this morning I tried this workaround.  Firstly, I deleted my save file on console and cloud, to start afresh.  Re-setup all my preferences, etc., and started a new season.  Xbox was online all the time, and connected in TGC.  Got to end of third round this time, and locked up in exactly the same way.  The workaround doesn't work.

Come on HB, get this fixed.  I'm fed up with having to re-start a season every time this happens, I seem to be having to play the same 2 or 3 courses over and over again :(

Hi Tarbat, just so I'm clear you played straight through 3 rounds and left it on the entire time? Or did you exit the game during the second round and resume after powering off your xbox?

I exited a couple of time.  Part way through round 1, and also at the end of round 2 (I think).  Each time I, as always, returned to the XB1 menu and quit TGC.  I didn't realise I would have to complete all four rounds of golf in the first season without interruption :(

I've also noticed that sometimes the little flashing icon in the bottom right of the screen, which I presume indicates some sort of activity, is constantly flashing for several minutes, if not forever......

Any news on when this permanent fix will be rolled-out to XB1?  We've been waiting months now to play season mode.

So, I guess we have to presume that the lack of any answer from HB to this thread means they don't know when season mode will be fixed :(

Every weekend I line up some time to finally play Season Mode, and every weekend I'm disappointed.  How on earth can it take so many months to fix this, or have HB given up on Season Mode?

The season mode issues have been very trying for everyone involved.  The devs have worked on a fix and hope to have it solved.  With the consoles, you can not just continually update things.  They require a certification schedule and the process itself takes a week or two.  Not too mention the consoles will not allow you to submit patches too close together so you basically want to make sure you can get as much into it as possible.  It's close to a month before the next one can be submitted.

Halfway into the pro-am season, I once again experienced the same issue I saw back in June: after finishing the 18th hole the program would not advance nor accept user input.

Looked like the fix was working OK, but now maybe it's not fully trustworthy.

So, another weekend, and still I can't play what I paid for - Season Mode.  Can you please tell us when this will be fixed.  I'm seriously regretting buying the update :(

So, how do other games like Fable Legends manage to do weekly updates?  And The Long Dark updated twice in one week.  Are Microsoft specifically targeting HB Studios with this rule about frequency of updates?

I am not 100% sure on this, but I am guessing that if your game(s) create a great deal of revenue for Sony and MS, that getting much needed updates is likely expedited for those games. My guess is that TGC does not bring in the kind of revenue that other AAA games bring in, therefore not a priority for them. See DLC fisaco.

Well, Fable Legends is free, and The Long Dark is a very low volume niche product, so I can't imagine they're big revenue generators.

That aside, any news from HB on when I can eventually play the Season Mode I paid for?  I check each weekend, but nothing.  We've been waiting months for this to be fixed.

In all seriousness,   season mode is a gameplay feature that is obviously important to you but lets not forget many of us value things like turn based multiplayer as you do season mode and we've been stuck with a broken system as well.   There are many things that struggle to work in this game bit what keeps most of us coming back is it's course variety or for some the creator.
Please HB,  give us a way to share user created society templates of our tour course schedules.

Okay, I've never played multiplayer, but if that's broken as well then you are right to be unhappy about that.  I've not used the course creator much, and I find most of the new courses being added not much fun with rock hard greens, etc.

HB, when will these major failings be fixed?  Days, weeks, months?  All I want to do is play Season Mode.

Fable Legends is published by Microsoft Studios so you cannot compare that to other games since it is an in house game for MS.  The Long Dark looks like it is part of the early preview program which is a completely different animal.  Basically it is like an early access program and is treated differently from other games.
