I haven't noticed an issue with text. I'm about 12 feet away on a 50”. I guess I could see an issue if you're on a 30 inch and 8-10+ ft though.

I do have an issue sometimes with the shape/loft grid at times. (As in seeing the actual grid lines. I believe they're red? White would be nice)

Still seeing "Course Management" ie. ability to archive old courses, maybe with an auto archive after so many days of non activity as the front runner, but the sample size contributing here is too small so far.

Thanks to all those that took the time to post.

Cheers,

I don't remember the course off hand but search for Shakespear and find the one there is no way to read...90" wouldn't help.  It's just too small...too many characters.  It's a fantastic course by the way...play it!  It's not mine :)

Priority número uno should be tournament wind. Myself and I'm sure many here play this game as often as we do because of awesome tournaments and communities like the TGCT.

Fix the damn wind. You already did it once. Figure it out.

  • Cleanup grafic bugs for both Radeon and NVIDIA.
  • Cleanup mouse input and use the keyboard as a keyboard.
  • Adjust physics, all of them: balls lie, spin/length when lofting, cup-edge.
  • Implement full set of golfrules: 2-club drop for ball unplayable, both types of water-hazard, frontal and lateral. Include propre definition of waterhazards in GNCD.
  • Implement game forms: matchplay, 4-some ....
  • Take care about the social aspects of the game (ingame-chat, team playes, etc.)
  • forget about tournament wind, this is rubish and will arcadise the game completely.

You mean you don't want the winds to be at least similar for everyone playing a tournament?

The wind (as the weather in general) is what it is when you play your round in any tournament and will allways be different for everyone.

Think you are in the minority on that train of thought but it is voicing an opinion on it.  Personally I think similar winds for tournament play is sorely needed.

You must not play on a third party tour.

The wind, or waiting for a lack thereof, is the biggest current issue in many player's minds.  It is greatly compromising the integrity of the tournaments and rewarding people for deliberately NOT playing the game when conditions are unfavorable.

The most frustrating part of this is that they already made and released a decent (though not perfect) solution and shelved it after one week for reasons that I find less than compelling.

Also, your contention that universal tournament wind will "arcadise" the game is baseless nonsense. [/list]

The point is people don't play in whatever wind they get as loads of people wait until the wind is low before playing their tournament rounds. As a result those that have the time to keep going back and checking on the wind have a huge advantage of those that don't have the time or choose not to do so.

While I do appreciate all the latest comments about the wind...hey I get it...everyone wanting this is frustrated so I'm not surprised to see it come up. We all know HB Studios is going to eventually going to implement what I call wind discipline for competitions. Hopefully sooner than later. This thread was created in the hopes of the community banding together a bit and presenting HB Studios what our top priorities as a community are for any upcoming updates.

It should be restricted to features and enhancements that are not readily apparent to be implemented and new features or enhancements that are not already in the game or as I said readily apparent. I know the argument can be made that right now wind discipline is not in the game but it is readily apparent that it will be worked in ASAP. I think the team is erring on the side of caution so we don't have to go through this again.

So please keep leaving your comments.

The priority I see  leading in this thread right now is Course Management by being able to either archive or delete old courses. My guess would be an archiving system might be possible. I still think up and down hill lie implementation should come before anything once most resources dedicated to fixing the wind fix are done but I seem to be in the minority.

I will need and HB Studios will require, to see a much larger sample of the community though before this thread can carry much weight. It's about getting ourselves organized in our approach that's all.

    Thanks again for all contributions,

    Gameplay
     - make all max lofted clubs have the same thin cone as a max lofted driver (don't change their default cone sizes)
     - balls that roll straight up red/yellow slopes should roll back (including on fairways/fringe on red slopes) - balls only roll back when they curve at the top - very rare for a ball to go straight up and roll straight back on even the most severe slopes
     - Designer:  make all dials dynamic so that there are many options for Green Speed, Firmness etc, instead of it rounding to one of a few settings depending on where dial ends up
     - Windfix for tournaments - it's coming - very exciting!
     - Multi-pins - designers should be able to place more than 1 pinset without having to publish separate courses - multipin events should be able to be played in Tournament format - suggest 4 pinsets per course - optional for designer

    Interface/Menu system
     - during tournaments/tours - have an exit screen/button between holing out on the 18th green and the 1st tee of the next round - would hopefully limit the 1-inch putt glitch for those exiting between rounds to continue later on
     - Message center - have it load newest messages first (might do this already but not 100% sure)
     - wildcard search function by default when searching for courses - should only have to type in partial words to find courses
     - have a filter for tours/tournaments you are currently playing but haven't finished

    Other
     - PC:  have the game load up while in Windowed mode and window isn't active (can't browse while starting up the game as it just stops loading once TGC window is inactive)
